Clarins Gloss Prodige in 11 Coral Tulip

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I got my hands on some of the products from the new Opalescence collection which will launch in February! Keep and eye on the blog, I'll do my best to post all my reviews before the official release date. Let's start with Coral Tulip, a new permanent shade in the Gloss Prodige line!

(Vous parlez français? Cliquez ici!)

Coral Tulip is a sparkly peachy coral pink. It looks quite pigmented when I swatch it on my hands, but for some reason it appear more sheer on my lips than in the tube. I love this shade, it's a bit milky on me (I'm tan right now) but it's warm enough to still look good. Please note that it might be more warm toned or brighter on light skintones with pink undertones.

Let's be honest, I'm not a huge fan of lipglosses. Not because I don't like the super lustrous finish, but because most of them are too sticky and I just prefer the texture of lipsticks. This one isn't too sticky, but I would say that after 2 hours it starts to get more tacky. It's much more confortable on the lips than MAC Lipglasses (I can't stand these) and I get 3-4 hours of wear, not bad for a gloss, eh?

Some of you might wonder what is the difference between this gloss and the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector? Clarins Gloss Prodige is slightly more sticky but it also has a more glossy finish. The color payoff and staying power are quite similar. I'm not sure if all Gloss Prodige are like this, but one thing I noticed is that Coral Tulip is more sparkly while the Instant Light Perfectors I own have a cream finish (they contain tiny shimmers that are much less noticeable).

This gloss smell SO good, it reminds me of gummy bears. Yum!! Coral Tulip is such a gorgeous shade, if you love wearing glosses and like anything peachy pink, I highly recommend this one! Heck, I'm not even a fan of lipglosses and I fell in love with this one!

The Clarins Gloss Prodige in #11 Coral Tulip retail for $23 CDN for 6ml.

(I received this product in order to evaluate it and give my opinion, but rest assured that my comments are always honest and impartial.)
