Makeup of the day : Orange Lips

I know, I haven't posted a Face Of The Day since forever, but I was so frustrated that my camera could never capture all the details! I bought a new camera and I'm still experimenting with it, but so far I'm very pleased with the results. Anyway, I wanted to show you another look with orange lips, since this will be the hottest trend this summer! I used MAC So Chaud for this look, but of course you can use any orange lipstick!

(Vous parlez français? Cliquez ici!)

I used a lot of products for my skin, but only in small amounts to keep it as natural looking as possible.

Face :
Jouviance Sur-Mesure Foundation Serum
NYX HD Concealer in Light + Make Up For Ever Full Cover in #7 (to cover dark circles)
Make Up For Ever Full Cover Extreme Camouflage Cream in #6
Jouviance Mim' Injection Plumping Stick (on cupid's bow and forehead)
Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Pressed Powder
Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Setting Spray
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light
The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer
Nars Light Reflecting Setting Loose Powder (to set under-eye concealer)
Shu Uemura Glow On blush in P Gold 93D
Nars Blush in Torrid

You might wonder why I used 2 powders? I love how the Hourglass powder looks on my skin, but my skin is very oily so I can't only use that powder to set my foundation (it doesn't really mattify the skin) So what I do is : set my foundation with a mattifying powder (in this case, it was the MUFE HD pressed powder), set my makeup with the Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Setting Spray, let it dry, then buff the Hourglass powder into my skin.

Eyes :
Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Shadow Primer
Jouviance Hydra-Color Quatuor in #02 Back To Basics *
MAC Eye Khol in Phone Number
MAC Khol Power Eye Pencil in Feline (waterline)
Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes! Natural Waterproof Mascara
Red Cherry Falsies #15

I applied the light sparkly beige eyeshadow all over lid with MAC #239 brush ;
I blended the light warm brown in my crease with MAC #222 brush ;
I used MAC Phone Number Eye Khol on the upper and lower lashline, and then smudged it with MUFE #210 brush ;
I applied the dark brown on the upper and lower lashline with MUFE #210 brush ;
I used a small bit of the dark brown on the outter v and blended it slightly with MAC #217 brush ;
And finally, I added the light ivory shade on the brow bone with MAC #239 brush.

* You can use MAC Blanc Type, Cork, Mystery eyeshadows and Naked pigment if you don't have the Jouviance quad.

Brows :
MAC Eye Brows Pencil in Spiked
MAC Eyeshadow in Cork, Charcoal Brown and Mystery
Make Up For Ever Eyeshadow in #17 and #28 (Blue Sepia palette)
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye in Neutral Medium (I use it to clean up the edges)

I'm still trying to find the best way to do my brows, since they are so sparse. I like to draw the shape with MAC Eye Brows Pencil in Spiked, and then I apply the eyeshadows to set the pencil and the light shades on the inner parts of my brows for a softer look. I use many shades because I think it looks more natural that way and I have a hard time finding the perfect shade.

Lips :
MAC lipstick in So Chaud

Now this is the easy part, I only applied one product on my lips and it's MAC So Chaud lipstick, a beautiful matte orange. I started by applying it directly from the tube on the center of my lips, and then I used a lip brush (Make Up For Ever #304) to define the edges. You can use a lip pencil too if you want.
