Pupa Made To Last Eyes Long Lasting Waterproof Eye Pencil in #100 and #200

A couple of weeks ago, I've been lucky enough to get sent a few Pupa products to review. I love discovering new brands and reviewing their products, even if these posts aren't as popular as the latest MAC collection. Because there aren't many reviews about this brand (well, not in english or french), I feel like it's even more important to test them for you guys. Today we are talking about another Pupa product, the Made To Last Eyes long lasting eye pencil!

(Vous parlez français? Cliquez ici!)

#100 is a matte black and #200 is a matte dark neutral brown. The color payoff is excellent, you really don't need to apply multiple layers to get a nice dark line!

The staying power is out of this world : I compared it to all my others waterproof eye pencils and the Pupa eye pencil beat them all. It is even more resistant to water than MUFE Aqua Eyes or MAC Powerpoint eye pencils! You'll need an oil based makeup remover or a very good micellar water such as Bioderma Sensibio to remove it without rubbing your eyes.

The black (#100) is also amazing on the waterline, it's highly pigmented and last longer than any other black eye kohl I've tried. The brown (#200) isn't good for that purpose though, it doesn't transfer well onto the waterline so it's barely noticeable that you applied something there.

Here's the deal, though. If you want to smudge it, forget it. The little sponge tip is a great idea and I love when companies include it with an eye pencil, but this formula dries SO fast it's impossible to smudge it!! It dries in less than a second, believe it or not. Once it sets, it doesn't move.

I have a love/hate relationship with this pencil ; it can be difficult to apply because it dries so fast, but the staying power is phenomenal. So if you still haven't found an eye pencil that doesn't smudge or flake on you, you might want to give these a try despite the not-so-easy-to-work-with formula!

The Pupa Made To Last Eyes Long Lasting Waterproof Automatic Eye Pencil retail for $16 CDN for 0.3g.

(I received these products in order to evaluate them and give my opinion, but rest assured that my comments are always honest and impartial.)

  1. PUPA! I remember trying a single eyeshadow from the brands years ago. I got it from Pharmaprix but have no idea if they still carry their products. I was so excited to try italian makeup haha

    1. Did you like it? I have some shades to test out but I didn't have time to photograph them yet so I have no idea if they are good. lol

  2. Wow, these sound fantastic! While I do love being able to smudge my liner, sometimes the trade-off for great wear time is worth it. I will definitely have a look at these when I run out of my current long-wearing black liner (Senna's)!

    1. I still can't believe how long they last on the waterline! (well, not the brown, but the black is phenomenal) I only like it for the waterline though, it's really difficult to apply on the lids.
