Makeup Of The Day : Sparkly Plum

I've been meaning to post this look for a while now, but life got in the way! Is it me or each year seems to go by faster as we get older? Oh well.. If you want to know how to recreate this look, keep reading!

Eye Makeup Look Sparkly Plum Too Faced Love Palette Blinking Beauté Samantha OPI Starlight

HOW TO RECREATE THIS LOOK IN 10 STEPS :

I used a few eyeshadows from the Too Faced Love Palette and unfortunately I think that it has been discontinued, but you can probably find similar shades in other brands. If you don't have this palette, try : MAC Curduroy (instead of Romance), MAC Carbon (instead of Amorous), MAC Trax (instead of Passion) and MAC Retrospeck (instead of Cherish).

1. I started by applying Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer all over the lid and a light dusting of Anastasia Eyeshadow in Soft Peach ;
2. Then, I applied Too Faced Eyeshadow in Romance in the crease with my MUFE #242 brush ;
3. I applied Too Faced Eyeshadow in Amorous on the outter v and in the crease with my MAC #272 brush ;
4. I patted on Too Faced Eyeshadow in Passion to the center of the lid with my fingers ;
5. Then, I blended the colors with my MAC #217 brush and some Anastasia Eyeshadow in Caramel ;
6. I used Too Faced Black Waterproof Eyeliner in Black on the waterline and lower lashline, and then smudged it with my MAC #219 brush ;
7. I patted Too Faced Eyeshadow in Amorous over the eye khol, on the lower lashline and the upper lashline, and smudged it with my MAC #219 brush ;
8. I added Too Faced Eyeshadow in Cherish on the inner corner and blended it lightly with my MAC #217 brush ;
9. I applied MAC Eyeshadow in Brule on the brow bone with my MAC #239 brush ;
10. And finally, I added Blinking Beauté lashes in Samantha.

BROWS :

For my brows I used Urban Decay Brow Beater pencil in Warm Brown, MAC Eyeshadow in Charcoal Brown and Illamasqua Eye Brow Cake in Vehement.

NAILS :

On my nails, I'm wearing OPI Ce-less-tial is More (Starlight collection), a pinky silver with a glittery finish!

CHEEKS :

The glow on my cheeks is Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Illuminating powder!

LIPSTICKS SUGGESTIONS :

This makeup look would be beautiful with nude or beige lips, my favorites at the moment are BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick in Honeycomb and Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Penelope Pink.

A soft pink would be pretty too, such as Dose of Colors Lipstick in Soft Touch or Illamasqua Glamore Nude lipstick in Rosepout!

  4. Gorgeous! Purple/plum are probably my favourite shades to wear on the eyes. That nail polish reminds me I have something similar - I should really use it more!

  5. One of my favorite shades for makeup looks is a taupe purple shade and this look is absolutely what I would do with it! I think I'll save this to my inspiration folder and recreate it sometime :)

      Did you try to apply neutrals on the outer v and in the crease, and pat the purple only on the center of the lids?
