Clarins Sunkissed Summer 2016 Collection

It's that time of the year again, the weather is getting warmer day by day and brands are coming out with their summer collections! Today I'm reviewing Clarins's Sunkissed collection, which features a waterproof topcoat for lashes, 4 waterproof eyeshadows, a bronzing & blush compact, 2 lip comfort oils and a setting spray.

Fix' Make-Up ($30 CAD for 50ml)
To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be THAT good. What a nice surprise! This spray keeps my makeup looking fresh for up to 14 hours. My skin is super oily so I still need to use blotting sheets throughout the day but my foundation doesn't separate or look cakey.

The formula is even better than Skindinavia! (did I just say that?)

My only complain is the price! I mean, $30 isn't that bad but the bottle is so small compared to other makeup fixing sprays on the market. By the way it smells like roses to me, I like it but you might want to try in store before you buy it if your skin is sensitive to fragrance.

Woahhhh these eyeshadows are pretty much bulletproof! The staying power is really impressive, it won't crease even on very oily lids. It doesn't flake off or smudge on me and the formula is waterproof! By the way, you will need an oil-based makeup remover (or some olive oil).

The formula is a bit tricky to use, if you blend it too much it tend to look more matte. The trick is to apply a thin layer and blend it quickly into the crease. If you want an intense color, apply more product near the lashline and pat it gently on the lid without blending too much. You want to avoid a thick layer as well because it can emphasize wrinkles.

If you apply them properly though, these eyeshadows are beautiful and lasts all day!

Bronzing & Blush Compact ($42 CAD for 20g)
Clarins bronzing powders tend to have peachy undertones, which is something I try to avoid in a bronzing powder. It just doesn't look good on my golden-olive skin tone.

If I compare this one to last year's Clarins bronzer (Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact), the color is slightly less peachy but the undertones are still a bit too warm for me. I wish the blush was darker or brighter as well, it barely show up on me and I'm not even tan right now.

The formula is super soft and finely milled, but sadly the colors didn't work for me.

Double Fix' Mascara Waterproof Topcoat ($25 CAD for 7ml)
This isn't a new product for me, I bought many tubes in the past few years! It's the best waterproof topcoat I've ever tried, the consistency is perfect. This product is meant to be applied over your favorite mascara. It dries clear and your mascara won't smudge or flake off with this top coat, it will be completely waterproof!

You can also wear it UNDER your mascara to make sure your lashes stay curled all day long, that's how I like to use this product! You can apply any mascara over it and your eyelashes won't droop throughout the day

By the way, there's a waterproof mascara in this collection too and it's pretty awesome! (click here to read my review)
