There's a great variety of finishes in this palette, from matte to sparkly, metallic to satin finishes! If you can swatch the Full Spectrum palette in store, make sure to try several colors (to get a better feel of the different formulas) because the texture and finish varies quite a bit for each shade.

While most of the shades don't really need an eyeshadow primer (they are very pigmented!), I still prefer to use one to prevent creasing and intensify the colors.

Out of the 21 shades, only 3 of them were too sheer or dusty for my liking. Metamorphosis, Faded and Midnight Blaze needed to be applied over an eyeshadow primer and a few layers are required to obtain the desired intensity, but despite all that they weren't as pigmented as the other shades.

Unless these were the shades you were looking forward the most, I don't think this is a deal breaker. I mean, I can make these 3 shades work but the formula could be better. Overall, I really adored this palette!

By the way, this palette is equipped with a large mirror and comes with a double-ended brush. The Shadow Brush is great to pack color on the lids and I use the Tapered Crease Brush to blend the eyeshadows.

I rarely wear bright colors so I know I won't reach for this palette often, but I don't have any dupes for at least half of these shades so I will definitely keep it in my makeup collection!

    1. The texture varies for each shade so some color combinations are easier to blend. But I tried a few looks and didn't encounter any problems with the blending process.
