Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Nude Powder Foundation

A few weeks ago, Guerlain launched their new Lingerie de Peau powder foundation. I tried a sample of the original Lingerie de Peau (which is a liquid foundation) and I loved it so I was very curious to try this one!

I got 02 Light Beige which is a good match for those days I'm not wearing any self-tanner (similar to NC20). I would suggest that you try it in store even if you are already familiar with Guerlain foundations because I have a sample of the Lingerie de Peau foundation (liquid version) in 02 Light Beige and it's darker than the powder.

This foundation gives a nice matte finish and feels good on the skin ; it doesn't feel heavy and has a silky texture. It can look a tad powdery when freshly applied on the skin, but give it 10-15 minutes and it kind of melt on the skin! I think this product will best suit those with normal to oily skin types, but I wouldn't recommend a powder foundation to someone with dry skin anyway.

Because powder foundations can accentuate dry patches, it's always a good idea to wear them over a primer. Skindinavia's The Makeup Primer Spray and Illamasqua's Hydra Veil are great with Lingerie de Peau, the foundation also seems to adhere more on the skin which gives a tad more coverage. I also prefer to apply it with a kabuki or my It Cosmetics Buffing Airbrush Foundation Brush instead of the sponge that is already included.

It doesn't dehydrate my skin despite the fact that it gives a matte finish, thanks to the hyaluronic acid. Speaking of which, the mattifying properties are quite impressive! I still need to use a blotting sheet or two during the day but my skin is definitely less oily than usual. 

As you can see my complexion is unified and matte, minor imperfections are less noticeable, but the coverage is light.

To be honest I would have loved a tad more coverage especially right now because I have a lot of tiny acne scars and it takes me forever to apply concealer on each one of them. But to be fair it is supposed to give light coverage, a matte finish and have some moisturizing properties, and it does all that!
