The Fresh Wear foundation has a very thin consistency. It doesn't feel oily, sticky or heavy on the skin, and the self-setting formula is easy to work with ; it doesn't dry as fast as other self-setting foundations!
I can apply it with my hands too and it doesn't accentuate dry patches too much, but it looks even better if I apply it with a Beautyblender.
I would say that the coverage is medium to full, but buildable to full if desired. It can be sheered down as well! When I want sheer to medium coverage, I use a damp Beautyblender and swipe the sponge across my skin instead of bouncing it onto my skin (and use less product)!

This foundation dries down to a natural satin finish, it almost has a lit-from-within glow to it! The Fresh Wear foundation is less luminous than the Pro-Glow foundation, but definitely not matte like the Pro-Matte foundation. It's like a cross between both formulas!
By the way, this product is fragranced and may not be suitable for sensitive skin. My skin has been quite sensitive lately, but I don't have problems with fragrance in my makeup.
The staying power is pretty good, it lasts all day on me! But to be honest I expected it to last longer since it claims to last 24 hours. I can wear this foundation for about 10 hours, after that period of time it begins to separate around my mouth.
My skin is very oily though, so it may last much longer on normal or dry skin types! Speaking of oily skin, my skin is a bit shiny by the 2 hours mark, but I only really need to use a blotting sheet after 3½ hours.
L'Oréal Paris Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Foundation (without powder)

Hi there! Do you use Twitter? I'd like to follow you if that would be
ReplyDeleteok. I'm undoubtedly enjoying your blog and look forward to new posts.
Hi! Yes my Twitter handle is @crystalcandy
DeleteI have been curious about this foundation. Looks like a perfect amount of coverage for me. I will have to pick some up on my next shopping trip
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you try it!!
DeleteMam my skin is neutral I'm not sure I'm confused to pick up my shade can u please help me out??
DeleteMaybe they have testers in stores?
DeleteWhat would match NW25? I love your blog and the comparisons! Thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteCan you tell me what you think would match NW25? Love your comparisons! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHmm it looks like there isn't a shade similar to NW25. :(
DeleteYour best match would be 430 or 435 but they will probably be too dark (they are similar to NW30). I don't have the shade 415 though, so I'm not sure if this one would be a good match.
Thanks so much for getting back to me! Your awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! :)
DeleteThank you for the effort in shade comparisons- this is the only place that's taken time to compare against MAC shades as reference and I've been researching. Very grateful. Keep it up! (IG handle so I can follow you please?)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! That's why I always add the MAC shades, I know how helpful it can be. I wish everybody did this!
DeleteMy IG handle is @crystalcandymakeup :)
Thank you Kristelle! I have been looking to switch my foundation as I have very dry skin. This is very helpful, just wondering what you would think will match Mac's NC40 shade? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteI'm so sorry for the delay.
Unfortunately none of the shades I have are a good match for MAC's NC40. 500 is a bit too dark, while 465, 475 and 480 are too light. And I'm afraid the shade 470 would be too pink.
I don't have the shades 465, 485 and 490 though. I'm sure that the color 465 will be too light, so your perfect match might be one of the two other shades (485 or 490). It looks like 485 is more yellow, while 490 is more pink. If I was you, I would try 485 first. If it's too dark, then you will need to mix it with 475.
Does that help?
I’m an NC 40 and I use 485. Perfect match! Disappears into my skin ( I am more yellow toned). Also if you live in UK the shade equivalent of 485 is 260 golden sun. Hope this helps!
DeleteYay!! Thank you so much for your comment, I'm sure it will help someone!
DeleteI have a pink undertone and my PERFECT match is Pacifica Alight Clean foundation in shade 38NF. What shade would you recommend for the L’Oréal fountain?
ReplyDeleteHi! I've never tried Pacifica's foundations, so I'm not familiar with their shades. I'm sorry, I wish I could help!
DeleteHi so my perfect foundation match is Pacifica Alight Clean fountain in shade 38NF. What shade would you recommend?
ReplyDeleteHi! I've never tried Pacifica's foundations, so I'm not familiar with their shades. I'm sorry, I wish I could help!
DeleteThis is so helpful review, thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!! :)
DeleteOh I wish you would have included Sand! I'm hunting for comparisons of Sand and Natural Buff. This was really helpful though!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find it!!
DeleteThanks so much for this post!!! You totally helped me pick out the perfect shade! Which shade would you say is the next shade darker from Linen (same tone)? I'm going to Hawaii soon and I'm pretty sure I'll need at least a shade or two darker.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the delay. I don't have all the shade but I think 475 would be great for you, depending on how dark you tan!

Hey kristelle... Such a helpful review... Would you mind helping me with shades... Im nc37 and I'm kind of stuck between the shade 480 and 485...
ReplyDeleteHi Dee, I wish I could help but I don't have the shade 485 to compare it with 480.

ReplyDeleteHi Annette, I would mix 410 Ivory and 420 True Beige!
DeleteHello! I use NC37 what shade would you recommend?
ReplyDeleteHi Monica, I would try 460 Golden Beige although it might be a bit too light.
DeleteI wear #415 in the liquid infallible..I want to try the powder infallible..what would be a good match? I look for pink and neutral undertones so don't look orangey..thank you!
ReplyDeleteI don't have this shade, sorry!
DeleteI just wanted to compliment you- your swatches snd descriptions are the most accurate I have seen, and very helpful. Linen 425 was perfect for my yellow undertone, nc30 ish color and desired color. I used to use UD ultra definition warm 3, and also use True Match and mix warm 2.5 and warm 4 or use either depending on how my skin looks that day. I’ve been using a brush, but coverage is a bit heavy with it for me. I’ll try damp sponge based on your review. Your photo with product applied is the coverage I want! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! I'm glad it was helpful. I hope you like it better with a sponge!

ReplyDeleteHi Kristelle, what shade did you test out on yourself in the before and after photos? “L'Oréal Paris Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Foundation (without powder)”.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the review! I'm confused as to wether this foundation is water based or silicone based. It's said to be water based but first few ingredients are silicone. Not sure what type of primer would work best with it.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Sorry I don't know if it's water based. It doesn't feel very silicony (is that a word?) to me though.
DeleteHi, I've been using Infallible Pro Matte power for years until it's not discontinued sadly! I am having difficulty matching up the 300 Nude Beige to the new Infallible powder. I know it won't be exact but any help is appreciated. Thanks
