This kit contains 12 Artist Shadow shades and a full size Artist Liner. I already reviewed the Artist Liners so please click here to read my review! It's a very nice pencil, it glides on the skin like butter and is highly pigmented. It has excellent staying power too!
The formula is incredible, the texture is so smooth and buttery! It almost feel like a cream eyeshadow but it's not too creamy either so you don't lose the depth and dimension you get with powder eyeshadows. The color payoff is also excellent but it can vary for each shade, some of them are a tad more sheer but still great.
The range is divided in 5 finishes : Satin (S), Matte (M), Metal (ME), Iridescent (I), Diamond (D). I noticed that the Matte finish isn't as buttery smooth but not chalky at all, these are good mattes! Speaking of which, this kit would have been ever more perfect if there was a few more mattes, like maybe a medium brown.
Don't get me wrong, I love shimmery eyeshadows with a passion, but I need a few mattes to complete my looks and I really prefer to apply a matte shade in the crease. This palette only contain 2 mattes : a beige and a black, nothing I can really use as a transition or crease color. That being said, it's not really a complain because all the shades are stunning and most of us probably have more than enough matte and neutral eyeshadows!
I like to use it to store my other MUFE eyeshadows and pencils too!
