Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel

Because my skin is prone to breakouts, I need to use a cleanser with salicylic acid everyday. But sometimes, I like to use something else in the morning that will be gentle enough to not dry out my skin even more, because my skin can get quite dry even if I do my best to hydrate it with good moisturizers. All this to say that I was really excited to try this new Marcelle cleansing gel!

Marcelle's Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel is an ultra-mild and non-foaming cleanser that gently cleans without stripping the skin from its natural oils. It contains Aloe Vera, Glycerin and Glyceryl Oleate to soothe, hydrate, protects and moisturizes the skin. It's suitable for sensitive skin and is oil free, perfume free, paraben free, soap free and sulfate free.

This cleanser has a creamy gel consistency. You can use it on dry skin using a cotton pad, or on wet skin and rinse it away with water. Since I use it, I haven't seen any dry patches on my face ; my skin moisturized, soft and supple. It is quite good at removing my makeup too!

The only thing I didn't really care for is the scent, it smell like plastic. But I guess this is the downside of products that aren't perfumed, at least the scent doesn't last and it wasn't too bad either.

Peek-a-boo!

This is a great cleanser for sensitive and/or dry skin, I highly recommend it! It's also great if, like me, you prefer to wash your face in the morning with a moisturizing and gentle cleanser. Please keep in mind though that it doesn't foam at all and leave a moisturizing residue on the skin, if you prefer a squeaky clean feeling you might not like it.

The Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel retail for $12.95 CDN for 350ml.

(I received this product in order to evaluate it and give my opinion, but rest assured that my comments are always honest and impartial.)
