Yves Rocher Exfoliating Shower Gel (Organic Raspberry)

Yves Rocher recently launched a new range of Exfoliating Shower Gel! This easily biodegradable formula is paraben free and contain some botanical-based ingredients such as organic raspberry extract, kiwi seeds and apricot kernel powder.

If your skin is sensitive, you'll be happy to hear that this shower gel doesn't contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate! Instead, they chose mild surfactants (the ingredient that cleans your skin and make the product foam) such as Decyl Glucoside and Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Before I started blogging, I used to formulate cosmetics at home and compared many surfactants, these 2 were awesome.

This shower gel has a thin consistency, so be careful when you pour it in your hands! It doesn't contain a lot of scrubbies so it's easy to rinse off. It lathers well and my skin feels soft when I get out of the shower. The scent is nice, smells like fresh raspberries!

But like I said, it has barely enough scrubbies in it to exfoliate the skin properly. Someone with very sensitive skin might like it as a scrub though, because it's definitely not too rough, but for me it's just not enough.

This wasn't a good body scrub for me, but I think it's a pretty great shower gel!

The Yves Rocher Exfoliating Shower Gel retail for $9 CDN for 200ml. This product is available in 3 scents : Raspberry, Blackberry and Organic Vanilla.

(I received this product in order to evaluate it and give my opinion, but rest assured that my comments are always honest and impartial.)
