The formula is comparable to Make Up For Ever Aqua Lips, it set on the lips and doesn't budge! The staying power is incredible, the colour payoff is excellent and the consistency is so creamy!
In addition, the Rodial XXL lip liners have a little something special : they are formulated with a plumping complex! Does it work? Well I haven't used them for long enough to see a huge difference but it does seem to plump the lip line.
Left to right : Pink Espresso, Nude and Baby
Nude is a peachy nude with a matte finish. This one is my favorite, I can wear it with pretty much all my nude and beige lipsticks! By the way, I love to wear it with BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick in Honeycomb! Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip in 1C is slightly darker and more pink. Illamasqua Colouring Pencil in Woo is a tad darker and slightly cooler.
Baby is a warm beige with a pearly finish. I'm not gonna lie, I usually prefer a matte lip pencil because the line is less noticeable if I overdraw my lips than if I use a shimmery lip liner. However, the color would be perfect if you love shimmery lipglosses or lipsticks! MAC Lip Pencil in Subculture is slightly more pink and the finish is matte. Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip in 1C is a bit darker, more pink and doesn't have that pearly finish.
Pink Espresso is a pinky brown with a matte finish. This is the darkest shade, a perfect match for my BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick in Chai! MAC Lip Pencil in Dervish is more pink and slightly lighter, the formula is less creamy. Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip in 1C is a bit lighter and less pink.
The Rodial XXL Lip liners retail for $22 CAD for 1.2g.
