#20 Light will work well on light to medium skin tones. If you are familiar with MAC foundations, this palette will suits you if your skin tone is lighter than NC30 or NW25. It can work on a slightly darker complexion if you want a subtle contouring effect, but the highlight cream can look chalky.

The highlight cream is super light and the contour cream is a taupe brown, perfect for pale skin tones! The shimmer and color creams are very similar in both palettes (#20 and #30). I like that the color cream isn't too bright, yet it's still pigmented enough to show up on medium to tan skin tones.

#30 Medium is a good choice for medium to tan skin tones. If your skin color is between a NC30/NW25 and NC40/NW35, it should look good on you although it might look better on warm skin tones. The highlight cream doesn't look ashy if I'm tan (NC35), and the contour cream is dark enough to show up on me.

When I used the palette #30 for the first time I wasn't sure how the darkest shade (contour cream) would look on me because the color is quite warm, but it just blends into my skin without any orange undertones. I'm wearing self tanner right now though, it will be way too warm toned for you if your skin is anything lighter than a NC30/NW25.

I love the formula, creamy without being too greasy or oily. It blends into skin effortlessly and doesn't look cakey! Speaking of which, I like to apply it with a foundation brush (such as MUFE #106) and blend it with a Beauty Blender or a small and dense round brush like It Cosmetics Brush #7.

I like to apply a light dusting of loose powder as well and set my makeup with Skindinavia's The Makeup Finishing Spray, which really helps melt all the colors together to make my makeup look more natural. You can see the result here!
