Bite Beauty High Pigment Matte Pencils are lipsticks that are highly pigmented and creamy, they glide on the lips easily without dragging. I was surprised that they aren't completely matte like it's stated, to me this is what I would describe as a satin finish, very creamy with a slight glossiness. I do like that kind of finish too, but that's not what I was expecting.

I like that these a retractable pencils, so you don't need to sharpen them which means that you waste much less product!

The darker shades will stain your lips so they have better staying power. The nude one (Madeira) does stay a long time even though it doesn't leave a stain, I only needed a touch up after 3 hours.

I love Cranberry and Madeira, but didn't care much for Quince (I prefer brighter and lighter pinks), and I really don't like Rhubarb on me.

If matte lipsticks aren't your thing because you can't stand the dry or powdery feeling on your lips, give these a try. They aren't completely matte but still doesn't have a very glossy finish either. I think it's a pretty good deal if you like at least 2 of the shades! One full size pencil is worth $28, and you get the equivalent of 2 pencils in that kit.
