Dose of Colors Lipstick in No Shade (Desi x Katy Collection)

As you may know already, Dose of Colors created a collection in collaboration with the youtubers Desi Perkins and Katy (formerly known as Lustrelux)! Everything is currently out of stock, but a restock is scheduled for later this month. Today, I'm reviewing the No Shade lipstick!

When I tried No Shade for the first time last week, my skin was very fair (lighter than MAC NC15) and it wasn't a very flattering shade on me.

But I wore it again after using self-tanner and I have to say, I quite like it now! In my opinion, No Shade looks best on medium to tan skin tones with warm undertones.

No Shade is a peachy beige with a semi-matte finish. This color is very pigmented and opaque!

MAC Satin Lipstick in Peachstock is slightly lighter and pinker. MAC Lustre Lipstick in Freckletone is similar but less opaque and the finish is glossy. MAC Satin Lipstick in Myth is much lighter and pinker. Dose of Colors Classic Lipstick in Poise is cooler and more glossy. BITE Beauty Multistick in Blondie is cooler and slightly darker. Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Creme Lipstick in C104 is brighter and more glossy. Lise Watier Rouge Intense Suprême Lipstick in Clara is cooler and more glossy.

The formula is different than the other Dose of Colors lipsticks I own, the original formula is super creamy with a slightly glossy finish. This one is very similar to MAC Matte lipsticks, creamy but a bit dry and the finish is semi-matte.

Even the scent is almost identical, it smells like vanilla!

I get 4 hours of wear out of this lipstick, but it does feel a bit drying by the 2 hours mark.

If your lips are dehydrated, I recommend to exfoliate your lips and apply a thin layer of lipbalm (or some MAC Prep + Prime Lip, which is awesome for matte lipsticks).
