Benefit The POREfessional Pearl Primer

Benefit's popular The POREfessional primer has a new sister! Designed to be used alone or under makeup, the new POREfessional Pearl Primer is said to minimize the appearance of pores and provide a brightening effect.

The new POREfessional Pearl primer has a thick creamy consistency and feels a bit greasy, but doesn't make the skin look oily. It has a very light fruity floral scent.

The product is light pink with tiny shimmers, but it doesn't add much color to the skin. I would say that the shimmers are very subtle as well, they are almost invisible to the naked eye.

I tried this primer with a few different foundations and I still can't decide if I prefer the original or the new Pearl version! My skin is very oily but I don't want a super matte finish, so I like to use the original formula with a luminous foundation, and the Pearl version with a matte foundation.

I find that the original formula is a bit better in terms of reducing the appearance of pores and controlling shine, but it has a tendency to accentuate dry patches. On the other hand, the new Pearl primer helps smooth out dry patches but can make my skin look more shiny after a few hours.

This product can be used alone too, but please note that it doesn't add any coverage!

As you can see on this photo, the POREfessional Pearl primer instantly minimize pores, blur fine lines and has a slightly radiant matte finish.
