Viseart Petit PRO 3 Eye Shadow Palette

For Summer 2018, Viseart is launching another Petit PRO eyeshadow palette! Inspired by the spring gardens of France, the Petit PRO 3 palette includes 8 shades in matte and shimmery finishes.

I really wanted to love the Petit Pro 3 palette, the colors are beautiful and I usually love Viseart eyeshadows, but I had a strange experience with this palette. Some of the matte shades work best without a primer, while the shimmery shades look better over a primer. Sometimes I love this palette, sometimes my makeup looks patchy and muddy. And I can't figure out why I get inconsistent results every time I use it!

I don't like two of the matte shades : Jasper and Béryl. They have a tendency to look patchy and sometimes they are particularly difficult to blend, especially if I want to apply them all over the lids. They are ok if If I apply them on a small area (such as the upper lash line), though. I find that they are easier to work with if I apply them on bare skin, which is not an option for me because pretty much everything creases on my lids if I don't use a primer.

The shimmery shades are nice but I prefer to apply them with my fingertips and over a primer otherwise, they are too sheer and slightly powdery. Three of the shimmery colors (Tourmaline, Framboise, Ambre) contain very small silver glitters, but they are just the right size and add a beautiful sparkly effect! I absolutely love the finish, and I'm usually not a fan of glittery eyeshadows.

Viseart Petit PRO 3 Eye Shadow Palette Review

I love Viseart Theory Eyeshadow Palettes, so I'm sad to say that the Petit Pro 3 palette didn't meet my expectations. I've been able to create a few beautiful looks with this palette, but the formula is too finicky for my liking.

  1. Thanks for the honest review! The swatches still look beautiful! But sometimes shades act quite different when applied with a brush.
