The formula is thick and dries quite fast, but it's not difficult to work with. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin, although it feels a bit drying if I don't apply a moisturizer underneath.
Like most mattifying foundations, the finish is matte so it has a tendency to cling onto dry patches. If your skin is oily but flaky at the same time, I would recommend to apply this foundation with a damp Beautyblender. That's what I do when I have dry skin patches on my face, and it works really well!
I like to apply the Can't Stop Won't Stop foundation with a foundation brush too (like the Make Up For Ever #108 brush), but I prefer to use a Beautyblender with this one.
I would say that the coverage is medium, but buildable to full.
This foundation can look like a second skin if you prep your skin first (with a moisturizer or a hydrating primer) and apply a thin layer with a damp Beautyblender! If I have a few breakouts, I simply add a bit of concealer where I need more coverage. You can always apply a second layer if you prefer full coverage, but it will look more cakey.
I like to add a light dusting of loose powder on my nose and my forehead too, but it's not a necessity. The Can't Stop Won't Stop foundation is self-setting, so I would only recommend to set it with powder if your skin is super oily like mine.
I'm wearing NYX's Can't Stop Won't Stop Foundation in Vanilla (one layer)
My skin is more dewy by the 2 hours mark but I only really need to powder or use a blotting paper after 3.5 hours. It's not the most mattifying foundation I've tried, but it has great oil-controlling properties!
The foundation doesn't separate and still looks great after 10 hours (if I use a blotting sheet after a few hours). And it doesn't settle into my smile lines.
I've tried many mattifying foundation in the past years, and most of them didn't live up to their promise. I can count on my hand how many foundations are able to keep my skin matte for more than 3 hours, and the Can't Stop Won't Stop foundation is one of them!

I feel like this foundation will be too drying for my skin. Which is too bad because it really looks great.
ReplyDeleteWhat's your skin type?
DeleteOooh - love that it was long lasting. 45 shades is so impressive!
ReplyDeleteVERY impressive for a drugstore brand!
DeleteFinally i can found medium olive swatches. Thank you 🙏🏻
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!! :)
DeleteWhats you skin color ? Light or light medium cuz i want to buy vanila shade and still hesitant
ReplyDeleteMy skin is usually light (when I don't use self-tanners), similar to NC15 but with neutral undertones. Vanilla is the best match for me but it's not perfect, a bit too peachy!
DeleteI would like to ask if someone knows nw25 to what is similar in can't stop won't stop concealers
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately they don't have a shade that is similar to NW25.
DeleteYou would need to mix two shades:
04 Light Ivory with 07 Natural
or
06 Vanilla with 07 Natural
You can see the swatches here:

I would like to ask if Warm Vanilla is a darker than NC15. What about 6.5(Nude)
ReplyDeleteYes, Warm Vanilla is a bit darker than NC15. I don't have the shade Nude, though.
