Makeup Revolution has launched a great variety of affordable gift sets for the holiday season! Today I'm reviewing my favorite set, the Totally Soph Kit. Available for a limited time only, this set contains an eyeshadow palette, a contour palette and three lipglosses!

For me, the star of this gift set is the Sophx Make Up Pigment Palette (12 x 1.2g)! This palette contains 7 matte and 5 shimmery eyeshadows.
The formula surprised me, the color payoff is excellent!
The mattes are slightly less pigmented than the shimmery shades, but all the colors are very pigmented when I use an eyeshadow primer.
The mattes are soft, although not extremely silky, while the shimmery colors feel buttery smooth to the touch.
Sometimes I like to apply shimmery eyeshadows with my fingertips, but these Makeup Revolution eyeshadows are already very pigmented when I apply them with a brush!
Also, the colors are right up my alley!
Next up is the Sophx Contour Palette (2 x 3.5g + 1 x 3g), which includes a contour powder, an highlighter and a powder blush.
This palette will look best on fair to medium skin tones, the blush won't show up on on darker skin tones and the highlighter will be too light.
The contour powder is a bit too warm for me, but I like to use it as a bronzing powder. It doesn't look orange, the finish is completely matte and the formula is silky smooth!
The blush is nice as well, and the highlighter looks gorgeous on fair skin! It has a beautiful finish, it doesn't look chunky or glittery.
The colors are nicely pigmented, never look patchy and they blend out beautifully.
Last but not least, there are three Lip Glosses (2.5ml) in the following shades : Cake, Syrup and Fudge.
The applicator is a bit hard for my liking and I wish these lipglosses were scented, although these will be great for those of you with sensitivities to fragrance.
However, I loooove the consistency and color payoff! The formula is ultra smooth, it doesn't feel sticky or too thick.
They are more pigmented than I expected too, they aren't fully opaque but the color payoff is great for a lip gloss.
I may be a bit obsessed with the shade Cake, it's the perfect rosy nude!
Cake is rosy nude with a glossy finish.
Syrup is a light peach with a glossy finish.
Fudge is a golden caramel brown with a glossy finish.
The Makeup Revolution Totally Soph Kit retails for $40 US (currently on sale for $27 US!) and is available at revolutionbeauty.com.

I tried many of their gift sets and this one was my favorite!
DeleteI really like the sleek packaging the brand has. I have never used any of their stuff yet, but this looks so nice. That palette has such great shades.
