TheBalm Autobalm PIC PERF Eyeshadow Palette

Earlier this week, TheBalm launched a new collection of three travel-sized palettes; PIC PERF, GRL PWDR and DAY 2 NITE! The two eyeshadow palettes contain 7 eyeshadows and a primer, while the cheek palette features 2 blushes, a bronzer and a luminizer. Today, I'm reviewing the PIC PERF eyeshadow palette!

TheBalm Autobalm PIC PERF Eyeshadow Palette Review Photos Swatches

The shimmery shades are slightly less pigmented than I expected, in comparison to other TheBalm eyeshadow palettes, and the two matte shades are quite sheer if I don't apply them over an eyeshadow primer. But the good news is that TheBalm included their new Priming Is Everything eyeshadow primer in this palette, and with this primer all the colors are very pigmented!

The matte eyeshadows (St. Charles Ave and Pennsylvania Ave) are soft and blend out beautifully. I love the fact that the colors are buildable too. The color Pennsylvania Ave was a bit patchy when I swatched it on my arm for this review, but it wasn't patchy at all when I tried it on my lids. St. Charles Ave is such a pretty transition shade!

As for the shimmery colors, they don't feel super creamy to the touch but they are smooth and not too powdery. I love the shades Market St and Ocean Dr! I prefer neutral shades these days so I wasn't sure if I would use the colors Broadway and Sunset Blvd, but I love to layer them on top of Ocean Dr to create new shades of brown.

By the way, the primer is great too! It gives a bit of coverage so it helps cover up veins AND boosts color intensity. It might be too orange on very fair skin, but my skin is quite pale at the moment and the color is ok for me once the eyeshadows are applied.

My only complaint is that the tin is hard to open, maybe because my nails are so short?

Broadway is a pinky cranberry red with a shimmery finish.

Sunset Blvd is a dark teal blue with a shimmery finish.

Market St is a olive silver with a slightly frosty shimmery finish.

Ocean Dr is a plummy brown with a luminous finish.

Rodeo Dr is a golden ivory with a frosty finish.

St. Charles Ave is a light rosy peach brown with a matte finish.

Pennsylvania Ave is a greyish olive with a matte finish.
