Benefit Brow Styler Eyebrow Pencil & Powder Duos

Benefit recently launched a new brow product! Available in 8 shades, the Brow Styler Multitasking Pencil & Powder Duo features a retractable pencil on one end and a loose filling powder on the other. In addition, the wax-pencil is said to be waterproof and provides up to 18 hours of wear!

I won't beat around the bush: I like the idea behind this product, but unfortunately it doesn't work for my overplucked brows!

I tried it numerous times, and I couldn't achieve the look I wanted without using additional brow products and a spoolie.

The finish is matte for both the powder and the pencil, and the colors are buildable, which is something I love in a brow product.

But I find that the loose powder is a bit messy to work with (or maybe it's the applicator that is the problem), and the pencil isn't precise enough for my liking. In fact, the pencil is great at first, but it gets dull quickly.

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of brow pencils to begin with (I'm a Ka-Brow girl), but I definitely prefer the Precisely My Brow Pencil. It's one of the best brow pencils out there, in my humble opinion!

And when I use a brow powder, I prefer to apply it with an angled brush.

But like I said, my eyebrows are very sparse so I'm finicky with how I do them.

The good thing is that it looks natural and creates a soft brow look.

If that's something you want in a brow product and your brows aren't too sparse, then maybe you will love it more than I do!

  1. I like the look of the brow pencil part because I like a thicker point but I agree that the powder looks way too messy for my liking!

    1. I'm not sure if it would be feasible, but a small angled brush like the one included with Ka-Brow and a pressed brow powder in the cap would be much better!

  3. The colours look so natural but I can definitely see how the powder would be messy.

    1. I'm not sure if it's the applicator or the fact that it's a loose powder, but it's really difficult to work it.

  4. I really like brow powders, but this applicator does seem a little odd. I like that you get two products in one though.

  5. Interesting - I can't say I fancy the idea of powder for my brows, but I do like the idea of 2 in 1 products!

    1. Me too, but I still haven't found a 2-in-1 brow product I like so far!
