The Body Shop Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream

As you may know already, The Body Shop is launching this month a new BB Cream infused with tea tree oil! This essential oil has antimicrobial, healing and anti-inflammatory properties, so it's a really good ingredient to look for in your skincare products if your skin is prone to breakouts.

When I tried this BB Cream for the first time, I applied it over my NeoStrata Mattifying Fluid and I didn't like it : It looked patchy and cakey and I couldn't blend the product properly. I tried it again without the mattifying fluid and it was much better! So be careful if you like to use mattifying creams, it might not work with that product. That being said, my skin is less oily with the Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream so it doesn't bother me too much that I can't use my mattifying fluid.

The finish is semi-matte and the coverage is light, so it's not enough to cover blemishes but it unify the complexion and you can always add your favorite concealer where you need more coverage. I'm surprised this BB Cream doesn't have more coverage than that though. I don't know about you, but when my skin is breaking out I prefer medium to full coverage.

I suggest that you apply it with your fingers, it dries too fast to be applied with a brush. This BB Cream has a strong tea tree oil scent, but it disappear quickly after the application.

I have the shade 01 Light which is the lightest color, they also have 02 Medium and 03 Dark. If you are familiar with MAC foundations, 01 Light is a bit darker than NC15.

I've never seen a BB Cream with tea tree oil in it and I think it's genius! I love the finish and the mattifying, antimicrobial, healing and anti-inflammatory properties. This is a BB Cream I would like to use more often when my skin is breaking out like crazy, because of the tea tree oil in it, but I wish it had more coverage because it's when I need it the most.
