The Ultra HD concealer is available in 10 shades :
R20 - Porcelain
R22 - Pink Beige
R30 - Beige
R32 - Peach Beige
R40 - Apricot Beige
Y21 - Pearl
Y23 - Ivory
Y31 - Sand
Y33 - Vanilla
Y41 - Honey
The colors are divided into 2 categories : The 'R' shades color correct and neutralize dark circles, while the 'Y' shades conceal and brighten undereye area.
R30 is a pinky beige. The color is similar to MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20 and It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in Neutral Medium. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla is a bit lighter than R30.
Y23 is a light golden beige. The color is similar to It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye in Light and I would say that it's similar to MAC NC15. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla and NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in Light are darker than Y23 and have more pink undertones.
The formula is creamy and thin, it blends easily into the skin! It has a luminous finish and the coverage is medium.
Make Up For Ever suggests to apply in thin layers for the most natural result, so this is what I did for this before and after :
I used the shade R30 here. As you can see my dark circles still show through, but they are less noticeable and it looks very natural. I tried to layer both shades to see if I could completely cover my dark circles, the shade Y23 did help to brighten the undereye area but it didn't give more coverage. By the way, I'm wearing Make Up For Ever's lashes in N-404!
I noticed a small amount of creasing, but I never found a concealer that doesn't crease on me. I do suggest to set it with a light dusting of loose powder, it can help minimize creasing.
Here's the final result with the Ultra HD Concealer and NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder :
I think this is a really good concealer but keep in mind that the Ultra HD concealer isn't meant to give full coverage!
The Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer retail for $32 CAD for 7ml.
