A few weeks ago, Vichy came out with a new makeup range : Teint Idéal! Suitable for sensitive skin, the line features three foundations (a fluid, a cream and a powder), a bronzing powder, a concealer and a luminizer. Let's start with the Teint Ideal Illuminating Foundation Fluid, specially formulated for normal to combination skin!

This foundation is available in 5 shades. I have 2 :
25 Sand is similar to NC30 and it has peach undertones.
35 Rosy Sand is slightly darker than a NW35, if you are familiar with MAC foundations.
The Teint Idéal Fluid Foundation is very liquid (kinda like L'Oréal's Pro-Glow), and doesn't feel sticky or greasy. It has a beautiful satin finish, slightly luminous. If your skin is super oily like mine, you will need to use a good mattifying primer (such as Becca Ever-Matte and NeoStrata Matifying Fluid) and set it with some loose powder. It won't keep your skin matte all day (it's not a matifying foundation!), but your skin will be luminous without the greasy look.
It offers light to medium but buildable coverage, it evens out my complexion but doesn't fully cover redness and imperfections.
In comparison to L'Oréal Pro-Glow, the Teint Idéal foundation is a bit less luminous and it gives less coverage. It's less dewy and hydrating than Clarins True Radiance and Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. I find that the Teint Idéal foundation is a bit more noticeable on the skin, but my skin gets more oily when I use other luminous foundations.
Who knew Vichy could make such an amazing foundation? I love this foundation so much, definitely one of my favorites!
My only complaint is the shade range, only 5 shades?! Come on, Vichy!
The Vichy Teint Idéal Illuminating Fluid Foundation retail for $38 CAD for 30ml.
