Illamasqua Glamore Nude Lipsticks in Rosepout and Starkers

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I bought many Illamasqua products at The Bay. The Illamasqua counters are closing now (in Canada) so everything is on sale! So you might see a bunch of Illamasqua reviews in the future, I hope you don't mind! ;) Today, I'm reviewing 2 lipsticks from the Glamore Nude collection : Rosepout and Starkers!

(Vous parlez français? Cliquez ici!)

Both shades are very pigmented, opaque and have a creamy finish. They don't look matte, but they aren't super glossy either. Rosepout wore well for 3 hours on me and Starkers needed a touch up after 5 hours.

They are confortable on the lips, the formula isn't hydrating nor drying. They don't settle too much into the fine lines either, even Rosepout which is quite surprising because pale nudes like this one usually do that on me.

Rosepout is a light pinky beige, I love this one a lot! It's a really good nude shade.

Starkers is much darker than I expected, I have a love/hate relationship with this one. It's a dark beige, almost too brown for me. If you want to try that new 90s brown lips trend though, but you aren't quite ready for a true brown lipstick, Starkers might be what you are looking for!

Glamore Nude Lipstick in Rosepout :

MAC Please Me is a brighter pink. TheBalm Mai Billsbepaid is similar but less opaque and slightly darker. MAC Peachstock is much lighter and peachy. MAC Honeylove is darker, less pink, more brown.

Glamore Nude Lipstick in Starkers :

Make Up For Ever N6 is lighter, warmer, less opaque and less matte. MAC Honeylove is lighter, warmer. MAC Faux is more mauve, less brown. MAC Hug Me is lighter, warmer, less opaque and less matte.

The Illamasqua Glamore Nude Lipstick retail for $24 CDN for 4g.

  1. I've been seeing more Illamasqua reviews popping up as people are stocking up from the sale! I wish I would have made it to a counter while there was still stock left! I've never tried anything from the brand but their lipsticks and blushes all look stunning from what I've seen. Starkers is totally my type of lipstick!

    1. You could have ordered online, that's what I did because I don't have any counter near me. :( They still have some stock, not a lot but you might find something you like!
