Designed for very damaged and over-processed hair, Kérastase's Thérapiste range is enriched with Fibra-Kap Complex and Sève de Résurrection. If you've never heard of the Resurrection plant, you need to check out this video and then you will understand why I was so excited to try this new haircare range!

Bain Thérapiste ($42 CAD for 250ml)
I've tried a few Kérastase shampoos in the past years, including the two shampoos from the Résistance range (Bain de Force which has been discontinued recently, and Bain Force Architecte). The Résistance line is now divided in 2 ranges : Force Architecte which is marketed towards weakened and damaged hair (erosion level 1-2) and Thérapiste for very damaged and over-processed hair (erosion level 3-4).
Bain Thérapiste is a bit more moisturizing than Bain Force Architecte (It's highly charged with cationic polymers) and is designed to work in synergy with the Soin Premier Thérapiste, a conditioner that you apply before shampooing. The formula is quite thick and lathers nicely, my hair feels clean and soft.
Soin Premier Thérapiste ($45 CAD for 200ml)
This product can be a bit confusing, it's a conditioner but you need to apply it BEFORE shampooing to protect the hair fibre. I don't think I've ever seen a product like that, but it's brilliant! It moisturizes without weighing my hair down, it's perfect for fine and damaged hair.
My hair still feels a bit more dry than I would like if I only use this with Bain Thérapiste though, but keep in mind that my hair is very damaged. I like to add one pump of Sérum Thérapiste before I blow dry my hair, and use Masque Thérapiste once a week.
Masque Thérapiste ($61 CAD for 200ml)
I think this might be my new favorite hair treatment, it's so concentrated and rich! Less is more with this mask, it's so moisturizing that if I use too much or don't rinse it well enough, it can weigh down my hair. After the first use my hair felt hydrated and soft! I only use it once a week, that's enough for my fine hair, but if your hair is very thick and damaged you might want to use it like a conditioner.
If you can only afford one thing from this range, get this mask!
Sérum Thérapiste ($55 CAD for 30ml)
This serum is like an hybrid between a nourishing styling cream and your typical hair serum. You can apply it on towel-dried hair and proceed to blow dry, or use it as a finishing touch to add shine and tame flyaways.
I think it's a great serum but I'm not going to lie... I still prefer my beloved Kérastase's Ciment Thermique blow-dry milk! Both products smooths my hair and protect from the heat of styling tools, but Ciment Thermique doesn't weigh my hair down. Kérastase should create a blow-dry milk with Fibra-Kap and Sève de Résurrection, I bet it would be amazing!
(I received these products in order to evaluate them and give my opinion, but rest assured that my comments are always honest and impartial.)
This was so helpful! Thank you!!
