Unlike the Star Lit Liquids (which I reviewed here), these powders don't have a super glittery finish. They have a shimmery finish, and some shades can be worn on the cheeks or anywhere else you would normally apply your highlighter.
The shades 02 Frozen Gold and 13 Ivory are pretty luminizers for light to medium skin tones!
Left to right (first row) : 02 Frozen Gold, 05 Frozen Purple, 12 Copper, 13 Ivory
Left to right (second row) : 15 Golden Pink, 19 Ultramarine, 27 Gunmetal, 28 Anthracite
The Star Lit powders can be applied anywhere on the face (lips, cheeks, eyes), but my favorite way to wear them is on the lids. I've been obsessed with the shades 15 Golden Pink and 27 Gunmetal! And 02 Frozen Gold is stunning on the inner corners of the eyes.
The jars are tiny, but you don't need to use that much so I don't really mind.
All the shades have excellent color payoff, except 05 Frozen Purple. This color is very sheer and works best as a highlighter, although it looks a bit strange on my warm skin tone. I would be curious to see it on a fair and cool complexion!
By the way, I like to apply them wet (or mix them with some MAC Mixing Medium) for a super intense metallic finish! So pretty!
I looove these powders!
The Make Up For Ever Star Lit Powders retail for $25 CAD and are available at Sephora.
