Turn up the heat with Clarins' Sunkissed Summer 2017 Collection! This is a small collection, but it's a good one! It includes a bronzing & blush compact, an eyeshadow quad and two eye pencils.

I gotta say, I really like the packaging. I think it's my favorite limited-edition Clarins packaging so far!
What do you think, love it or hate it? Let me know in the comment section! :)
Clarins launches a new bronzer compact every year and while the packaging is always super pretty, I've never found one suitable for my skin tone.
I avoid warm-toned bronzing powders like the plague, as they always pull orange on my golden-olive complexion. And Clarins bronzers are usually quite warm-toned.
This year's Bronzing & Blush Compact ($42 CAD for 20g) is divided into 4 colors, three matte bronzers and a blush with a satin finish.
This bronzing powder leans a bit cooler than its predecessors, the undertones are less peachy. The pinky beige undertones are interesting, it gives a beautiful sun-kissed effect and doesn't look orange.
I noticed that it can accentuate redness though, so it might not be the best bronzer for those suffering from rosacea.
The blush is nicely pigmented and will show up on medium to tan skin tones too.
The formula is soft and finely milled. It has a light scent similar to their Everlasting foundation.
There's a new 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette ($45 CAD for 6.8g) in this collection too, and it's beautiful!
It includes a matte beige, a shimmery golden beige, a golden orange and a light shimmery brown.
How gorgeous is that bright orange? And that brown? Both shades are beautiful and have great color payoff.
The matte beige is great to highlight the brow bone. However, that shimmery golden beige (second shade in the palette) was a bit disappointing.
I love other Clarins 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palettes, so I was surprised to see how sheer the golden beige shade is. It's not very pigmented and the texture is kind of hard and dry. It looks great if I apply it with a wet brush, though.
I still love this palette, but I was shocked when I swatched the gold shade for the first time!
Available in two new shades, the Waterproof Eye Pencils ($27 CAD for 1.2g) come with a sponge tip applicator and are specifically formulated to be highly water-resistant.
The shade 06 Gold is a golden bronze, while 07 Copper is a golden copper. Both shades have a metallic finish.
I've reviewed one of these pencils a while ago (here) and I think they improved the formula because these two new shades are completely waterproof now.
They are creamy and I like that they don't dry too fast.
Once they set, they don't smudge, budge or flake off!
