Did you know that L'Oréal Paris has launched a new lip liner range? The Colour Riche Matte Lip Liners are available in 8 shades ranging from nude to vibrant purple.
(Vous parlez français? Cliquez ici!)
The Colour Riche Matte lip liners are ultra creamy and glide on the lips easily. The formula dries down to a matte finish and feels a bit powdery on the lips.
The colors are very pigmented and opaque (yes, all of them!), and you may be tempted to wear them on their own. But I wouldn't recommend to do that because they can be quite drying and some of the shades tend to flake off. The blackened plum (104 Curiosity Killed The Matte) is the worst offender, it crumbles when I touch my lips.
Therefore, I like to use them with a matching lipstick or with a bit of lipbalm or lipgloss (such as the MUFE Ultra HD Lip Boosters and the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils).
By the way, these aren't retractable pencils so you will need to sharpen them. I sharpened 3 of them and didn't have any problems, the tip didn't break off.
But the packaging is made of plastic and the edges can be a bit sharp after you sharpen them.
100 Matte In Manhattan is a bold red-orange with a matte finish.
102 In Matte-uated With You is a cool red with a matte finish.
104 Curiosity Killed The Matte is a blackened plum with a matte finish.
106 Strike A Matte-ch is a bold purple with a matte finish.
108 Best Mattes is a hot pink with a matte finish.
110 Matte's It is a mauvey greige with a matte finish.
112 Matte-Stermind is a pinky brown with a matte finish.
114 Matte-ing Call is a warm beige with a matte finish.
Overall, I love the creamy formula and the extremely pigmented colors, but I do recommend to wear them with a lipstick or some lipbalm to prevent that crumbling problem!
Also, I would prefer a retractable pencil but I guess that's just a matter of taste.
The L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Matte Sharpenable Lip Liners retail for $10.99 CAD for 1.13g.

ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised! ;)
DeleteI bought the 112 Stermind .. a bit too ligh but definitely creamy .. I also added a 24 hr lip gloss over it to keep it intact & add ccolour.. having trouble with sharpening it as I'm getting sharp edges from the plastic .. much prefer a retractable kind.
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, I'm sorry you didn't like the color and the packaging. :(
