This concealer isn't new to me, I bought my first tube years ago! Back in the days, only 10 shades were available in the full-size format. Now we have 30 shades to choose from!
Up until the last 2-3 weeks, I had not used it much this year because I've tested many other concealers, but it's still one of my favorites.
It's just so easy to work with, it doesn't dry too fast and it blends out like a dream!
I'm wearing NARS Mini Radiant Creamy Concealer in Affogato (without powder) and Esqido's Unisyn Lashes in Heart & Soul
But what really sets this one apart is that the formula is more forgiving on aging skin.
I find that as I'm getting older, some concealers I used to love now make me look older. It's not the case with this NARS concealer!
Oh and by the way, I use Affogato when my skin is pale and Cannelle when I'm tan.
NARS Mini Radiant Creamy Concealer: Mini vs Full-size
I would say that the finish is luminous but not dewy, and it has a subtle brightening effect. The finish is really beautiful and it doesn't look cakey!
The coverage is light-to-medium with one layer, and medium-to-full with two layers. I suggest to wait a few minutes after the first layer if you want more coverage.
It feels a bit moisturizing but it doesn't feel greasy, sticky or heavy. It doesn't fully dry down, so I always set it with my NARS' Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder. It's my favorite setting powder for the under-eye area!
It still creases a little bit even if I set it with loose powder, but it's not very noticeable and all concealers crease on me anyway.
I wish it was more opaque but the formula is so good for my thirty year old eyes, so it doesn't bother me that much if my dark circles are slightly more visible than usual!
Have you tried this concealer? Do you love it as much as I do?

I love that they come in the mini size now!! I would prefer to just have a bunch of mini concealers!
ReplyDeleteThe mini size is so cute!
Deleteomg so true <3
DeleteOh mini size! That's great. I am always picking this up for my coworker during Sephora sales.
ReplyDeleteYour coworker is very lucky!
DeleteWhere's the shade biscuit?
ReplyDeleteI don't have this shade, unfortunately. Sorry!
DeleteHi! Im a MAC NW25 in the 24hr studio fix concealer and i´m really struggling between NARS Crema catalana , Canelle or Toffee. I need to order online so I cant test them out in person, any idea which one should I lean towards to?
ReplyDeleteAlso custard and honey come up a lot when researching similar tones to nw25, i think im a light to medium or medium girl with neutral subtly peach undertones
DeleteHi Camila,
DeleteI don't have the Studio Fix concealer, and sometimes MAC concealers are lighter than their foundations. But it looks like it might have peach undertones in comparison to other NW shades?
I would try Cannelle, I'm afraid Crema Catalona and Toffee would be too pink. Honey will be too dark. And I think Custard will be too yellow and light, unless you want a brighter under eye!
Merci beaucoup, Kristelle!
ReplyDeleteYour swatches are super helpful (I am very pale (around MAC N03, if it existed) and not all brands are available for me to test).
I particularly appreciate that you always use the same lighting, so all swatches can be compared accurately.
Keep up the good work!
Hi Anne,
DeleteYou're welcome!! And thanks for the kind words, it made my day!
Hi, I'm fair to light skin toned with slightly yellow undertones. Could me suggest me a concealer for my under eye and cheek area? Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteHi! I would try the shade Affogato for your under eye and maybe Madeleine on your cheeks (not sure if it would be too dark though).
DeleteHi! I usually use NC25 prolongwear as concealer shade (which is slightly lighter than my foundation). Should I pick Custard or Cafe con Leche? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Amy! I would go with the shade Custard!
DeleteHeyy, in their website the Affogato is actually described as peach undertone, so it would correspond to the lighter shade of Cafe au Lait. The Vanilla is subtle pink and it would correspond to the lighter shade of Creme Brûlée. I know that the peachy undertones are better for medium colored skin while the pinks are better for fair skin types, hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteHi Natalia, Affogato and Crème Brûlée have similar undertones (salmon pink) but Crème Brûlée is darker. Vanilla is more pinky beige in comparison to Affogato.
DeleteHi i use nw20 in mac studio fix foundation which concealer u recommend
ReplyDeleteHi Amber, I would try Affogato or Vanilla.
DeleteHi! I use custard for around my face but looking to find a shade to brighten the under eyes. What do you suggest?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Vanilla would be perfect for your undereye brightening! It’s what I use (my skintone is light/neutral)
DeleteHi there Kristelle, terrific blog and your swatches are really helpful! I use Mac studio fix fluid in NC 25. Which shades of the Nars concealer would you recommend please? One as a concealer and a second one for brightening underneath the eye area. Thank you 💗
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you so much! I would try Café au Lait and Crème Brulée!
