Blush Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour in #09 Golden Pink ($33 CAD for 7.5g)
This blush was love at first sight! It's a warm peachy pink with a subtle golden sheen. It looks quite pale in the pan, but as you can see it shows up nicely on my skin! For reference, my skin tone was similar to NC30 when I took these photos.
It doesn't look patchy on the skin, blends out nicely and lasts all day on me (more than 10 hours)! Seriously these Clarins powder blushes are so good, I still can't get enough of the shade #07 Tawny Pink.
The color is similar to MAC Fleet Fast (discontinued), but a bit cooler and much more pigmented. It looks like MAC Peachykeen as well, but the MAC blush is more frosty on the skin and has a pink sheen.
Ombre Matte Eyeshadows in #09 Ivory and #10 Midnight Blue ($26 CAD for 7g)
I'm a huge fan of the Ombre Iridescente cream-to-powder eyeshadows, so I was super excited to try the Ombre Matte formula. The name of this product is misleading, the Ombre Matte are less shimmery than the Ombre Iridescente but they aren't matte.
Sadly, the shade 09 Ivory isn't that great. It's not very pigmented and if I try to apply more layers, it begins to look patchy.
With that being said, the color 10 Midnight Blue is gorgeous and highly pigmented! If you love blue eyeshadows, this is a must-have!
4 Colour Eyeshadow Palette in #06 Forest ($45 CAD for 6.9g)
Clarins' 4 Colour Eyeshadow Palette never disappointed me, and this new palette is no exception. All the shades are nicely pigmented and the formula is buttery smooth!
I'm not sure why I've never noticed it before, but the texture is similar to their Ombre Iridescente cream-to-powder eyeshadows. I always need a primer with both products, but they last all day without fading or creasing.
Graphik Ink Liner in #01 Intense Black ($30 CAD for 0.4ml)
This new eyeliner glides on the lid like a charm, the application process is a breeze! The color is extremely opaque and pigmented as well.
The formula isn't waterproof, although the brand doesn't claim that this eyeliner is water resistant.
However, it's supposed to be long-wearing and unfortunately its' not! It begins to smudge after a few hours. That's a bit of a bummer because this product is so easy to work with, compared to my other eyeliners!
Lipliner Pencils in #05 Roseberry and #06 Red ($26 CAD for 1.2g)
I've never tried a Clarins lipliner before and I'm not disappointed! The creamy formula glides on the lips easily, but it's not TOO creamy and it sets to a matte finish.
In terms of staying power, the formula reminds me of MAC Pro Longwear lip pencils and Make Up For Ever Aqua Lips. Once it sets, it doesn't budge and the product is waterproof! The Clarins lipliner pencils are a bit less creamy though, but in a good way.
These lip pencils are great to prevent feathering and improve lipstick wear.
Joli Rouge lipstick in #754 Deep Red
Joli Rouge lipstick in #755 Litchi
Joli Rouge lipsticks in #754 Deep Red and #755 Litchi ($28 CAD for 3.5g)
Enriched with mango oil, the Joli Rouge lipsticks are said to be moisturizing and long-wearing. I wouldn't say that they are long-wearing, but the formula is nourishing and feels great on the lips! I love the consistency (creamy, but not too thin or oily) and the subtle fruity scent.
Both shades are translucent but highly pigmented, if that makes sense. They have a creamy and slightly glossy finish.
I prefer nude lipsticks these days, but I love to wear the shade #755 Litchi mixed with a bit of MAC Myth lipstick! I can adjust the color depending on my skin tone, if the shade is too dark for my liking.
