I have the two lightest shades with warm undertones :
1W1 Ivory is a bit darker than NC10. It has a yellow undertones.
2W1 Macadamia is slightly darker than NC20. It has peachy golden undertones.
Swatches on fair skin (similar to NC10)
This foundation has a gel-cream formula, it looks thick when you pump it out of the bottle but the texture is quite light on the skin! It has a satin matte finish and provide medium coverage, buildable to full.
I find that if I try to achieve a full coverage by applying more product, this is when things can go wrong ; it looks cakey and settles into fine lines. Less is more with this foundation, 3 pumps is enough for my whole face. This amount of product gives me the best results, it looks great on the skin and still provide excellent coverage.
Also, I like to apply it with a damp Beautyblender! I tried to apply it with my fingertips and didn't like it, probably because I have a lot of dry patches on my face.
Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation (without primer or powder)
It doesn't play well with mattifying primers though. I tried a few of my favorite matte primers and it was terrible! It doesn't blend well, accentuates pores and looks very cakey.
If your skin is very oily like mine, I suggest to apply it on bare skin and set it with a mattifying powder instead.
I would say that this foundation looks best on normal to oily skin types, although dry skin types would be able to wear it in combination with a luminous or hydrating primer, such as Laura Mercier's Radiance Bronze primer or NARS' Radiance primer. I tried both with this foundation and the finish was beautiful! My skin is very oily though, so I need to apply a bit of loose powder on my T-Zone too.
But be careful if your skin is flaky, the formula has a tendency to cling to dry patches. So you will need to prep your skin properly (exfoliate and moisturize), otherwise it will look really bad on your skin and the foundation won't last all day.
In regards to the staying power, my skin is a bit shiny by the 2 hours mark but I only really need to use a blotting sheet after 3 hours, when my skin is too oily for my liking. My face is usually VERY shiny after only 2 hours when I use a matte foundation, so I would say that it has great oil-controlling properties but it's not extremely mattifying either.
This is a long-wearing foundation that is supposed to last 15 hours, so it fell a bit short in my opinion. But it will hold up well throughout a 8-9 hours work day, which will be perfectly fine for many of you. Also, I have to admit that the finish is beautiful and it feels incredibly light on the skin!
The Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation retails for $59 CAD for 30ml and is available at Sephora, Nordstrom and lauramercier.com.

This makes your skin look flawless! I don't think it would work for me because I have skin but it looks really nice on you.
