Enlarged pores and dull skin? Don't worry, Institut Esthederm has the solution! The Intensive AHA Peel Concentrated Serum has been created to smooth and refine the skin's surface : a concentrate of acids (lactic, citric, salicylic) visibly corrects dull complexions, while glycolic acid sloughs off dead skin cells.

The texture is quite nice, it's thicker than your typical serum but it's still lightweight on the skin. It absorbs very quickly into the skin and doesn't feel sticky or oily! The scent is a bit weird, but it dissipates rapidly.
This serum has a tendency to ball up, especially if I apply more than one pump. Therefore, I only use it at night because I'm afraid that it wouldn't play well with my foundation. That's not a problem for me though, because Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids can make you more sensitive to the sun so I wouldn't use it in the morning anyway.
For your information, my skin is oily (but very dehydrated) and prone to breaking out. I only use it 5 times a week and alternate with a powerful moisturizer, otherwise it's too strong for my skin. I would suggest to try the gentle version if your skin is very sensitive, which contains 5.4% AHA and BHA, instead of 12%.
And the results? Well, my skin definitely looks clearer and more radiant! My pores are less noticeable too, and I've only been using it for 2 weeks.
Overall I'm surprised by the results, especially for such a short period of time!
The Institut Esthederm Intensive AHA Peel Concentrated Serum retails for $79 CAD for 30ml.
