The TimeBalm concealer is thick, but not too dry. It comes with a sponge, but I find that thick cream concealers look best when they are applied with the fingertips, and this one is no exception.
It can look dry and cakey if I apply it with a brush or a sponge, but it looks smooth and creamy on the skin when I apply it with my fingertips!
I would say that the finish is semi-matte with a subtle luminous effect. The formula doesn't completely set on the skin, so I always add a bit of loose powder to help prevent creasing under my eyes.
I don't have many cream concealers to compare it with, but I couldn't find one with the same texture and finish.
The Benefit Boi-Ing Industrial Strength Concealer is less creamy and more matte, while the Benefit Boi-Ing Brightening Concealer is more creamy and dewy on the skin.
The Benefit Boi-Ing Airbrush Concealer and the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer have a different consistency (more moussey) and the finish is more matte.
In terms of staying power, it settles a bit into fine lines even if I set it with my beloved NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder. But I have yet to find a concealer that doesn't crease on me! (and I tried many!!)
I'm wearing TheBalm's TimeBalm Concealer in Light (without powder) and Blinking Beauté's Luxe Silk Lashes in Mademoiselle
I would say that the coverage is medium to full, but not full coverage. It's great for the under eye area and to cover up small imperfections!
I'm still looking for the perfect full coverage concealer that will completely cover the blue vein under my eye, but I love the finish and consistency of this concealer!
