Lunar New Year is here! To celebrate the occasion, Givenchy has launched a limited-edition version of its iconic Prisme Libre Loose Powder! Available in one shade, No. 1 Mousseline Pastel, this light-as-air setting powder is composed of four colors that evens out skin tone, enhances radiance and keeps shine under control.

This powder is silky smooth and extremely finely milled, it's such a lovely formula!
It doesn't look powdery or chalky even if I'm heavy handed, and doesn't accentuate my dry patches as much as other powders I've used. It seems to melt into my skin, I can barely see it on my face!
The finish isn't flat matte, it doesn't have a luminous finish either but it doesn't make my skin look dull or lifeless. It mattifies my oily skin pretty well, without looking chalky or dry. It has a subtle brightening effect too!
And a little bit goes a long way, I only need the tiniest amount to set my foundation and mattify my skin! I'm sure this powder will last me a long time.
When mixed together, the four shades transform into a greyish white with a hint of blue undertones. The undertones are only visible if I apply a lot of powder, like I did for the swatch below. But even with that ridiculous amount of powder, it still doesn't look extremely powdery. Color me impressed!
By the way, the Prisme Libre powder has a subtle fresh and floral scent. Just something to keep in mind if your skin is sensitive to fragrance!
It's such a beautiful powder for very fair and pale skin tones!
I think it would look very ashy on deeper complexions, but there are darker colors in the permanent range (in the original packaging), if you are interested in trying out this powder.
The Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder (Lunar New Year Edition 2018) retails for $75 CAD for 12g (4 x 3g) and is available at Sephora.

I absolutely fell in love with this in store. It is such a pretty product. I had no clue it was a permanent item but in limited packaging. I must go grab it now because I hadn't read any reviews on it yet and yours makes it sound so good.
ReplyDeleteI hope you love it as much as I do! By the way, you can buy it in the regular packaging if you want to save a few bucks!
DeleteThis is so pretty! I love that is has a subtle brightening effect because I find most products are over kill these days.
ReplyDeleteOMG yes, I hate when powders are loaded with shimmers or glitters! (if that's what you mean by overkill lol)
