NARS Exposed Cheek Palette

As you probably already know if you are a fan of the brand, NARS has launched a new cheek palette last month! Featuring a new breakthrough formula, the Exposed Cheek Palette contains six universally flattering shades in shimmery and satin finishes.

The formula is really different than all the other blushes I've tried! They aren't buttery smooth, they feel silky and powdery to the touch but they don't look powdery on the skin. They almost feel like a dry oil-infused powder, but they aren't oily. I know, it's strange.

When using this palette for the first time, NARS recommends to swirl your brush multiple times on the powders to soften them. Don't skip this step, or you will be disappointed with the color payoff. I suggest to apply them with a dense brush too, your big fluffy blush brush won't do the trick with this formula.

The colors are buildable and translucent, and that's something I love when it comes to blushes. My skin is super fair when I don't self-tan, so I tend to prefer sheer blushes because they are easier to work with.

The highlighter (Tell All) is too sparkly for my liking, sadly. The color is beautiful and it doesn't contain large glitters, but the finish is very sparkly depending on the lighting.

I love the other colors though, they have a satin finish so they are more luminous than a matte blush, but they aren't too shimmery either. They don't accentuate texture or pores, and the formula is so lightweight that I can't see any powder on my skin. It's like a cream blush, but better!

The staying power is great too, they last all day on me! (for more than 10 hours)

  3. I need some new blushers for my kit. The formula sounds very interesting and satin finish is perfect for bridal makeup as I absolutely cannot stand outrageous shimmer blush on a bride. Biggest pet peeve. I am obsessed with these already. Have to add them to my list for sure.
