NARS recently launched a new limited-edition eyeshadow palette! Available at Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart, the Afterglow eyeshadow palette features twelve all new versatile shades in matte, shimmery and sparkly finishes.

As usual, NARS' matte eyeshadows are a dream to work with. They are velvety soft and very pigmented! They are easy to blend and don't look patchy on the skin.
The shimmery colors (First Taste, Trouble, Deep Cut, Guayaquil) are equally nice, the formula is smooth and they have great color payoff!
As for the sparkly shades, I reached a point in my life where I rarely wear glitter eyeshadows and if I do, it has to be finely milled. The shades Hot Line, Riding High and Push It are exactly what I want in a glitter eyeshadow, the formula is smooth and the glitters are very small! I highly suggest to apply them with your fingertips though, to prevent fallout during application.
But sadly the shade Bayadere I is a disappointment. It's so chunky and dry, with large flecks of glitter.
In fact, I'm not sure if I will keep this palette (I will probably give it to a friend), even if I love all the other colors.
I have a soft spot for NARS palettes, I guess this one isn't for me!
First Taste is a light ivory with a shimmery finish.
Shadow Hill is a warm medium brown with a matte finish.
Hot Line is a tangerine with a sparkly finish.
Whipped is a deep warm brown with a matte finish.
Crushed is a apricot with a matte finish.
Mad Love is a pinky coral with a matte finish.
Push It is a light golden pink with a sparkly finish.
Riding High is a rosy taupe with a sparkly finish.
Bayadere I is a gold with a glittery finish.
Trouble is a coral peach with a shimmery finish.
Deep Cut is a magenta with a shimmery finish.
Guayaquil is a deep warm brown with a shimmery finish.
The NARS Afterglow Eyeshadow Palette retails for $78 CAD for 16.8g (12 x 1.4g) and is available at Sephora.

This palette is GORGEOUS. I love those pops of pink! Sad to hear that BayadereI doesn't perform well! The swatch looks gorgeous nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteI wish you could see how chunky this shade looks on my skin, for some reason it doesn't look that bad here. The other colors are so pretty though!
DeleteI guess it shows how different swatches can look, because Bayaderel looks lovely! I love Deep Cut too - phwoar.

Yeah it looks better here than how it does in real life!
