Make Up For Ever Desire Me Cheek Set (Fifty Shades of Grey Collection)

Inspired by the movie Fifty Shades of Grey, Make Up For Ever's newest collection features 4 limited edition makeup sets. Today I am reviewing the Desire Me cheek set which contains 3 Artist Shadow blushes (I-526, I-808 and S-748), a travel blush brush #150 and an exclusive keepsake pouch!

I-526 Pearl Beige is a light pinky beige with a pink sheen. It's way too pale for me at the moment, I just got back from Mexico a few days ago so my skin tone is much darker than usual (I think I'm a tad darker than an NC40), but I know it will look amazing on fair skin tones! On me it looks a bit ashy because it has a lot of white in it and the base is quite opaque, but I will get a lot of use out of this color once my tan wear off. I have to say that it's a stunning colour, it's very finely milled and not glittery at all, it gives a beautiful pink glow. The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, Nars Albatross and Becca Moonstone are more golden.

I-808 English Pink is a medium pink with a golden fuchsia sheen (I know, weird description but that's how I see it lol). On me it's a very cool toned pink and the sheen is quite strong, very unique shade! Looks great as an eyeshadow too. Hourglass Luminous Flush is much less shimmery and less bright, Nars Orgasm is much more peachy.

S-748 Coral is a coral orange with a satin finish. It's not shimmery at all, but not super matte either. This color can be scary at first, but it's more coral than orange on the skin and it's such a stunning shade on darker skin tones! It's darker than Illamasqua Lover, but not as dark as Illamaqua Excite, and it's much more orangey than MAC Ripe For Love.

They blends easily on the cheeks and are buildable, which is always a good thing for a blush. All the shades have good pigmentation, but the pink and the coral-orange aren't as great as the other Artist Shadows. It can be hard to pick up the product on brushes, it seems like this formula is a tad too densely packed. I can make it work though, if I swirl my brush into the pan generously.

With that being said, I still think it's a great kit! You do get a good travel size brush with it (Make Up For Ever brushes are awesome!) and a cute pouch. The blushes can be worn on the lids too, if you apply them with your fingers you'll get excellent color payoff!

The Make Up For Ever Desire Me Cheek Set retail for $56 CAD.
