Lancôme Grandiôse Wide-Angle Fan Effect Mascara

Lancôme reinvents mascara by creating the first patent pending 'Swan-Neck' wand! Length, curve and volume, Lancôme claims that their new Grandiôse mascara does all that without smudging, flaking or clumping. Sounds quite interesting, isn't?

If you read my blog on a regular basis, you probably already know that I can't live without waterproof mascaras. Washable mascaras contain more water so they make my lashes super straigth even with a good lash curler (try to pour some water in your hair after curling them, this is exactly what happens to my lashes). So I'm always reluctant to review a non waterproof formula because I know it doesn't look as good on me than it would on someone else.

But if your lashes are straight like mine and don't hold a curl unless it's a waterproof formula, there's a trick that can allow you to still use a regular formula. Curl your lashes, then apply a thin coat, wait 2-3 minutes, then apply a second thin coat. It's a bit too time consuming for me though, but at least it gives me the opportunity to test it! I also did that trick for my before and after.

Here's Lancôme Grandiôse mascara on me (2 thin coats):

Grandiôse gives length and volume, it's super black and it doesn't flake. It doesn't smudge either, even during a hot and humid day, although it's not water resistant. The consistency is just perfect ; not too wet nor too dry.

My lashes are too finicky for this mascara (I need a waterproof formula) but I have to admit that the formula is awesome and the 'Swan-Neck' wand is pretty cool, it really helps to apply the mascara perfectly!
