I have to admit, I didn't think I would love this concealer as much as I do. But I was wrong, the formula is even better than some of the high end concealers I've tried!
This product doesn't feel thick or heavy on the skin, the coverage is impressive for such a thin consistency! It provides medium to full coverage and has a satin finish (or more luminous if you use an eye cream with it).
It doesn't dry out my skin either!
I'm wearing NYX's Can't Stop Won't Stop Contour Concealer in 04 Light Ivory (without powder) and Blinking Beauté's Luxe Silk Lashes in Mademoiselle
This concealer is self-setting, but I always add a bit of loose powder because I'm a creature of habit.
It lasts all day and the creasing is minimal. It's quite surprising how well it lasts on me!!
And when NYX says the formula is waterproof, they aren't kidding. It doesn't want to come off with my micellar water, I can only remove it completely with an oil-based makeup remover.
By the way, it doesn't oxidize on me but it dries darker on my skin after a few minutes. When I'm not self-tanning, my skin is a bit lighter than NC15 and I use the shade 04 Light Ivory. When I'm tan (similar to NC30), I mix the shades 06 Vanilla and 07 Natural.
In comparison to L'Oréal's new Full Wear concealer, the Can't Stop Won't Stop concealer is slightly less opaque and the formula feels a bit more hydrating.
I prefer the coverage of the L'Oréal concealer but the formula is a bit dry (I need to use an eye cream with this one), while the NYX concealer is less prone to creasing but it doesn't completely cover the blue vein under my eye.
Both concealers are amazing in their own way, it all depends on what you prefer in a concealer!
01 Pale is much lighter than NC10 and has yellow undertones.
02 Alabaster is slightly lighter than NC10 and has neutral, slightly yellow undertones.
04 Light Ivory is a bit darker than NW15 and has pink undertones.
06 Vanilla is similar to NC15 and has peach undertones.
07 Natural is slightly darker than NW30 and has pinky peach undertones.
08 True Beige is a bit lighter than NC30 and has yellow undertones.
09 Medium Olive is darker than NW35 (but lighter than NW40) and has beige undertones.
11 Beige is similar to NC35 and has gold undertones.
13 Golden is similar to NW42 and has neutral, slightly peach undertones.
14 Golden Honey is darker than NC42 and has yellow, slightly peach undertones.
15 Caramel is similar to NC42 and has neutral, slightly gold undertones.
17 Cappuccino is darker than NC45 and has neutral undertones.
The NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Contour Concealer retails for $12 CAD for 3.5ml and is available at Ulta, Walmart.com, Feelunique and cultbeauty.co.uk.
