L'Oréal Paris Le Vernis à l'Huile by Colour Riche

Introducing L'Oréal's first oil-based nail lacquers! Infused with four precious oils (Rose, Argan, Lotus Bloom and Camellia Seed), the formula is based on 10-years of research. Available in 25 shades, these nail lacquers are supposed to provide intense shine and color payoff in just one coat!

I've only worn one shade so far (#666 Vert Absynthe) but I'm very impressed with the staying power! There was some minimal tip wear 4 days after the application but it only began to chip after 10 days. By the way, I've tested it with my CND Stickey base coat and Essie Good To Go top coat (I can't live without my fast-drying top coat!).

The color payoff can vary for each shade but most of them were opaque in 2 coats, sometimes 3. They aren't completely opaque in one coat (except Fuchsia Palace!), but they do provide intense color payoff.

I love the brush as well, it's a wide brush with a rounded tip. Painting my nails with my non-dominant hand is much easier! I tend to prefer large brushes so I'm super happy with this one.

Oh and these nail lacquers are scented! They have a strong chemical scent like regular nail polishes, but wait a few minutes and they smell really good, a bit like their Colour Riche lipsticks. It may not be an important feature for a nail lacquer, but I think it's a great bonus!

Please note that these 4 shades will be available in November 2016 : 226 Nymphea, 554 Carmin Parisien, 662 Moka Chic and 660 L'Or.

L'Oreal Le Vernis Huile Colour Riche Review Photos Swatches Rose Ballet Blanc Lune Dimanche Apres-Midi Nymphea Fuchsia Palace
Left to right : 224 Rose Ballet, 112 Blanc de Lune, 220 Dimanche Après-Midi, 226 Nymphea and 330 Fuchsia Palace.

224 Rose Ballet is a warm brownish pink with a creme finish. This shade is darker than I expected, but it would be a great shade for fall. It's almost completely opaque in 1 coat, but it looks best with 2 thin coats.

112 Blanc de Lune is a white with a creme finish. I'm currently wearing this white on my toenails, it's very pretty! This shade is highly pigmented but the first coat is streaky, it's opaque in 2 coats but still a bit streaky for my liking. I prefer to apply 3 coats!

220 Dimanche Après-Midi is a light pink with a sheer creme finish. This soft pink is a bit streaky so I suggest to apply 3 thin coats instead of 2, it's still a bit sheer with 3 coats but it's not streaky!

226 Nymphea is a bright warm pink with a creme finish. I love this pink, so bright! It's pretty much fully opaque in 2 coats, but I still prefer to apply 3 thin coat for a super smooth finish.

330 Fuchsia Palace is a magenta pink with a creme finish. Fuchsia Palace is a one coater, the color payoff is incredible!

L'Oreal Le Vernis Huile Colour Riche Review Photos Swatches Orange Triomphe Carmin Parisien L'Or Moka Chic Vert Absynthe
Left to right : 444 Orange Triomphe, 554 Carmin Parisien, 660 L'Or, 662 Moka Chic and 666 Vert Absynthe.

444 Orange Triomphe is an orange-red with a jelly finish. This one is sheer compared to the other shades, it's super pigmented and not streaky at all but I can still see the nail line even if I apply 3 coats. If your nails are short you can probably get away with 2 coats.

554 Carmin Parisien is a deep cool red with a creme finish. This beautiful red is highly pigmented, almost totally opaque in one coat! It looks best with 2 thin coats though.

660 L'Or is a beige gold with a frosty finish. This color is opaque in two coats, but it's a bit too streaky for my liking.

662 Moka Chic is a grey brown with a creme finish. I've been loving earthy shades lately and this grey brown is right up my alley! It could be more opaque, but 3 thin coats did the trick.

666 Vert Absynthe is a dark dusty olive green with a creme finish. I'm so obsessed with this green! This color is fully opaque in 2 coats.
