This illuminating powder for face and eyes has to be the prettiest highlighter I've seen this year! The color is pretty unique too, on me it's a soft golden champagne with silver undertones.
The finish is shimmery and a bit sparkly, but not glittery if you remove the top layer (which is just an overspray). By the way, if you want to remove the glittery overspray easily, gently press your fingers on the surface of the powder! You can apply the glitters on your eyelids too, if you don't want to waste them. It's very pretty!
Burberry Cat Lashes Eye-Opening Volume Mascara ($32 CAD for 7ml)
This mascara is supposed to add volume and lift the lashes, thanks to its lightweight formula and hourglass-shaped brush. The short bristles wrap lashes to create volume while the longer bristles comb the lashes.
I really wanted to like this mascara (that packaging is so pretty!!), but the formula is too heavy for my lashes. It weigh down my lashes even if I apply a very thin coat.
It gives a lot of volume and length, so I was a bit sad when my lashes began to droop down after the application. Also, my lashes tend to stick together a bit too much for my liking.
Left to right : one coat, two coats, three coats and four coats.
Left to right : No. 451 Gold Glitter (one coat) over OPI Kerry Blossom, OPI CIA = Color is Awesome, OPI You Don't Know Jacques and OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.
Nail Polish in No.451 Gold Glitter ($23 CAD for 8ml)
Filled with golden glitters, the Gold Glitter nail polish works best as a topper as it's still very sheer with 4 coats. I love the formula, it leans on the thick side and doesn't dry to a super gritty finish!
I wouldn't say it's a very unique nail lacquer, but I like it over a darker color!
Left to right : No.401 Nude Apricot and No.425 Damson
Lip Velvet Long Lasting Matte Lip Colour in No.425 and No.401 ($38 CAD for 3.5g)
The Lip Velvet lipsticks have a lightweight feel on the lips and are highly pigmented but not fully opaque. As far as staying power goes, Nude Apricot wore well for 3 hours on me while Damson lasted 6 hours without feathering or bleeding.
I love Nude Apricot but it tend to cling on dry skin, so I highly suggest to exfoliate and hydrate your lips before applying this shade!
No.425 Damson is a deep magenta red with a semi-matte finish.
Burberry Lip Velvet in No.437 Oxblood is slightly darker and more plum. MAC Matte Lipstick in Studded Kiss is cooler and darker. Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Mat Lipstick in M402 is lighter, less magenta. MAC Matte Lipstick in Fashion Revival is cooler, more purple. Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Mat Lipstick in M204 is much lighter.
No.401 Nude Apricot is a light peach with a semi-matte finish.
Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Creme in C104 is slightly lighter and the finish is more glossy. BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb is darker, more brown. Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Mat in M100 is more beige, less vibrant. Dose of Colors Lipstick in Sorbet is much brighter and lighter, the finish is glossy . MAC Matte Lipstick in Kinda Sexy is pinker and a bit darker. MAC Satin Lipstick in Peachstock is much lighter.
