Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Foundation

I have the shade 3N1 Ivory Beige, which is the equivalent of N35. The undertones are neutral, slightly pink.

My skin has been quite pale lately so I used some self-tanner this week just to be able to test it out. Hence why my skin was very fair in my last foundation review, in case you were wondering. :)

I'm not sure if you can see the texture on this photo, but the formula is very thin and liquidy. It feels a bit oily on the skin, but not thick or heavy.

It looks incredible on the skin, very natural-looking! The finish is luminous and slightly dewy, it looks like real skin! I would say that the coverage is light-to-medium, just as promised. It unifies my complexion, but I still need to apply concealer on my zits.

I like how it doesn't cling to dry areas either, and my skin is flaking like crazy since I started using a retinol serum so I think I know what I'm talking about!

That being said, my skin is very oily (yep, oily AND flaky!) and this foundation is a bit too hydrating for me. My T-zone is very shiny after a few hours, even if I use a mattifying primer and loose powder.

It doesn't separate though, which is quite impressive for a luminous and hydrating foundation! I'm sure those of you with normal to dry skin will LOVE the Double Wear Nude Water Fresh foundation.

Compared to the original Double Wear, the formula is thinner and more hydrating. It doesn't cover as well but it looks much more natural on the skin.

By the way this foundation doesn't come with a pump, but you can buy it separately now! And if you can't find it, the MAC foundation pump fits perfectly as well.
