NARS Orgasm Collection 2018

A few weeks ago, NARS launched a new collection inspired by Orgasm (NARS' best-selling blush shade)! Available at Sephora, the Orgasm Collection 2018 contains an oversized blush, an illuminating loose powder, a lip lacquer and a sheer lip balm.

The first product I want to talk about is the Orgasm Illuminating Loose Powder ($35 CAD for 2.5g)! The color isn't what I expected for a product inspired by NARS' Orgasm blush. On me, it's a warm rosy beige with a shimmery finish.

The formula is nice, it doesn't feel dry or gritty.

Now, the sad part is that it's too dark for me. My skin is darker right now (I'm testing out a new self tanner) and it's still too dark. I tried it as a blush too, but it was too shimmery for my liking.

It would be a gorgeous highlighter on tan to deep complexions, though!

Oh how I love the Orgasm Blush ($52 CAD for 8g)! I bought my first Orgasm blush years ago, and didn't really understand the hype around this color until recently. I love how it looks on me when my skin is very fair, it's the perfect fresh pink with a golden sheen!

The only thing I don't like about it, is that sometimes I can see a few micro glitters on my skin. It would be my #1 blush if the random tiny glitters weren't in it!

By the way, I compared this oversized version to my other NARS Orgasm blush and the formula seems to be softer and slightly creamier. The color is a bit cooler, too!

I will probably only keep this one because I love the texture and the color a bit better, and the packaging is very pretty.

I tried the Orgasm lipstick a few weeks ago, and wasn't a fan because it was too drying and frosty for my liking.

But much to my surprise, the Orgasm After Glow Lip Balm ($35 CAD for 3g) looks really nice on the lips! The finish is less frosty and the formula is much more moisturizing.

I would describe the color as a sheer peachy pink with gold shimmers. The formula is very smooth and doesn't feel gritty at all. I haven't noticed any particular flavor and the scent is very light.

I just wish it wasn't so expensive because I finish a tube of lip balm within a few weeks!
