Dare I say it? Ok, I will: The Born To Run palette is officially my all-time favorite Urban Decay palette! Yes, I like it even more than the Naked Heat and Naked Smoky eyeshadow palettes!

The shade selection is beautiful, I used this palette 5 times so far and I'm nowhere near to running out of ideas. So many possibilities! There are 21 shades in total, with a good variety of warm and cool hues, in matte and shimmery finishes.

Most of the mattes are silky soft and blend very nicely (even over a sticky primer), while the majority of the shimmery colors are buttery smooth. Hell Ride has a grainy texture, but it applies beautifully on the lids.

And you know how Urban Decay is notorious for including at least one glittery shade in each palette? It's not the case with the Born To Run palette, none of the colors contain large glitters!

The shade Wanderlust has a sparkly finish, but the formula is super smooth and the glitters are very small (they are just the right size!).

As for the color payoff, some of the colors are quite sheer and can look patchy (such as Hell Ride, Wildheart, Jet, Punk, Still Shot) but they are as pigmented as the other shades when I apply them over an eyeshadow primer. I always use a primer anyway so this isn't a problem for me, though.

If you try them on bare skin, chances are that you will be disappointed, but they perform well over a primer and blend beautifully too!
