This foundation stick has a creamy consistency, it feels a bit greasy at first but it dries down to a slightly powdery finish. It blends out easily on the skin and doesn't look streaky or patchy.
As stated by the brand, the coverage is sheer. I usually apply a few streaks on my face, blend with my fingertips, and then I add a bit of concealer where I need more coverage.
It has a tendency to cling onto dry patches though, which was a huge turn off for me when I tried it for the first time. My skin is super oily but extremely dehydrated, and no matter how often I moisturize my skin, I always have dry patches on my forehead and cheeks.
The weird thing about this foundation stick is that it looks horrible on me when freshly applied, but after about 30 minutes the dry skin patches are a lot less noticeable and my skin looks better as the day progresses. I always love how my complexion looks after an hour, it's my skin but better! I think it looks better because my skin is oilier after 30 minutes.
It doesn't separate or settle into fine lines, but the coverage is less opaque after about 8 hours. Maybe because my skin is very oily? I need to use a blotting sheet once or twice during the day too, as it's not mattifying enough for me even if I set it with powder.
As you can see on the picture below, the finish isn't flat matte. I would say that the Nudies Tinted Blur Sticks have a satin finish, slightly luminous but not dewy.
By the way, it balled up on my skin when I applied it over my Vichy Liftactiv Serum 10 Supreme Serum. But I tried it again with more than 10 other moisturizers and I didn't have this issue with them, it only happened with the Vichy serum. I don't know why!

I have a preference for medium or full coverage foundations, but this is a great product for those days when I want to wear minimal makeup.

These look fantastic! Though unfortunately I would need WAY more coverage!
ReplyDeleteThey are great for a ''no makeup'' makeup look, but they won't work for you if you need medium or full coverage.
DeleteThank you for the comparisons. I have searched high and low for info on the colours.
