The PhotoReady Candid foundation has a nice creamy consistency, it goes on like a cream and doesn't dry too fast. I didn't expect it to dry down to a matte finish though, since it's so creamy and blendable. In fact, I think this foundation will be more suitable for normal, combination or oily skin types. I would say that the coverage is medium and slightly buildable.
My skin is very oily but dehydrated too, so I have a few dry patches to deal with. It accentuates dry skin patches a bit too much when I apply it with my fingers or a brush, so I prefer to apply it with a damp Beautyblender.
I like to apply it over a luminous or hydrating primer, otherwise the matte finish can look a bit dull on me. I love NARS' Radiance Primer with this foundation!
By the way, I always apply a bit of loose powder on my t-zone and set my makeup with a makeup setting spray (I currently use the Skindinavia Bridal Makeup Finishing Spray).
Revlon PhotoReady Candid Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation in 120 Buff (without powder)
This foundation lasts 10 hours on me and keeps my skin matte for about 3 hours! It doesn't separate or oxidise throughout the day.
In comparison to other Revlon Photoready and Colorstay foundations, the finish is more matte upon application but the formula is less mattifying. On me, the Photoready Candid Foundation is less long-wearing than Revlon's Colorstay Full Cover Foundation and Revlon's Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin, but it last a bit longer than Revlon's Photoready Insta-Filter Foundation.
Overall I think it's a great foundation for normal to oily skin types, especially if you are looking for a foundation with skin-loving ingredients. But I still prefer the original Colorstay Foundation, it controls oil better and the lasting power is incredible!
