These pencils are very creamy, they glide on the skin without tugging! But I suggest to only do one eye at a time, as the formula dries fast and doesn't budge once it sets.
I haven't noticed any transfer on my upper lid, and I have this problem with most eye pencils. I have to say that I always use an eyeshadow primer and add a bit of powder on my lids though, which helps a little!
And yes, they are water-resistant too!
But the thing that surprised me the most is how well they last on the waterline! The High-Pigment Eyeliners are awesome for waterline application, they last all day on me (more than 8 hours)!
They wear off a little bit on the outer corner of my eyes (on the waterline), but the product doesn't budge anywhere else. In fact, I need to use makeup remover to remove the pencil on my waterline at the end of the day, and it's not something I have to do very often.
Out of the 14 shades I've tried out, only two of them were more difficult to work with: Santa Monica Boulevard and Rue Bonaparte. They are very patchy and if I try to apply a second layer, they flake off. With that being said, they are perfectly fine for the waterline.
The following shades are perfect in every way: The Strip, Grafton Street, Haight-Ashbury, Mambo, Last Frontier and Gran Via. They are creamy and highly pigmented in just one pass, and they don't look streaky!
The other 6 shades (Sunset Boulevard, Broadway, Ocean Drive, Park Avenue, Mulholland Drive, Night Porter) are slightly less pigmented and a bit streaky, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. I simply wait a few seconds and apply a second layer to achieve maximum color payoff.
My favorite shades? Haight-Ashbury, Mambo, Last Frontier, Grafton Street and Gran Via!

These are really pretty. I've surprisingly never tried any nars liners. I like the large colour selection.
ReplyDeleteNARS eye pencils have been hit and miss for me, but I love this new formula!
