The texture is similar to a BB Cream, the Born To Glow foundation is creamy and feels hydrating but not too much, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy. My skin is very oily though, so I only use a very light moisturizer when I wear this foundation, otherwise the finish can be too dewy.
I like to apply it with a damp Beautyblender, but it blends out well with my fingers too.
NYX Born To Glow Naturally Radiant Foundation in 06 Vanilla and 7.5 Soft Beige (06 is a bit too light for me)
This foundation has such a beautiful finish on the skin, it's luminous and slightly dewy! And it never looks cakey even if I apply two layers! The coverage is sheer to medium with one layer, and medium to full with two layers. Oh and by the way, it doesn't contain shimmers or glitters.
The finish is significantly less luminous when I set it with a light dusting of loose powder, but it looks more dewy after about 30 minutes. My skin looks dewy and fresh (but not oily) until the 4 hours mark.
If I set it with loose powder (I love Givenchy's Prisme Libre Loose Powder) and a makeup setting spray (I currently use Skindinavia's Bridal Makeup Setting Spray), it wears well for about 11 hours!
It can be applied over mattifying primers too, such as Becca's Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector. It doesn't make the foundation look cakey!
I didn't expect to love it that much but wow, what a nice surprise!
My skin is very oily so I need to use 2-3 blotting sheets throughout the day, but I don't mind because it looks sooooo good on my skin!

I've actually never tried a NYX foundation before but the finish on this one looks gorgeous! Would you say it's similar to the L'Oreal Pro Glow foundation (I love that one!)?
ReplyDeleteOh god I haven't used the Pro-Glow foundation since last year I think! The NYX foundation is thicker, feels more hydrating on the skin. But I would need to try the L'Oréal foundation again to compare them properly!
DeleteThis looks really great on you - and 11 hour wear for a dewy foundation?! awesome!
ReplyDeleteRight? I set it with a bit of powder though, because it would look way too dewy for my oily skin.
DeleteTHANK YOU for these swatches!!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!!
DeleteWhat shade suits you the most?
ReplyDeleteI currently use 06 Vanilla with a drop of 7.5 Soft Beige, and 09 Medium Olive when I'm tan.
DeleteI'm quite late to the party! I'm an nc15 in MAC, do you think 6.5nude would work for me?
ReplyDeleteI think it will be too light!
