Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector

The Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector is described to be an oil-control primer that perfects and minimizes pores all day. The formula contain mostly water, and is free of oil, silicone, fragrance or alcohol. Also, the Enantia Chlorantha Bark Extract (from an African tree) helps control skin's oil production and improve skin texture. I used it for more than 2 months so I can officially tell you that I'm in love with this stuff!!

I'm always curious to test new primers, especially when they have oil control properties. So when I saw this new product at Sephora and read all the good reviews about it, I quickly placed my order.

The texture is very thick, I was surprised to read on the packaging that you need to 'shake before use' considering the viscosity of the product. It dry quickly and it instantly matify skin.

In term of effectiveness, the Ever-Matte primer is one heck of a good product! Not only does it make my foundation last longer, it also help with oil control. It gives the same efficacity than my favorite matifying product (NeoStrata Oil-Free Matifying Fluid), but it's slightly more matifying and it also help to minimize pores. It's pricier, but if you can't find NeoStrata easily, Becca is a good alternative! I will still use my NeoStrata Fluid at night or when I don't wear makeup, but for the rest of the time, it will be Becca that will take care of my oily skin! By the way, I don't use both together because it doesn't change anything.

I also love the packaging, it's simple, classy, and it doesn't take too much space in my makeup bag since it's so sleek.

Ingredients :
Water, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylene Glycol, Enantia Chlorantha Bark Extract, Oleanolic Acid.

This primer works best for combination and oily skin, and if you are looking for a good matifying primer that minimize pores. I wouldn't recommend it to you if you have normal skin or if you prefer silicone based primers. Let's just say that the foundation doesn't glide as easily on the skin (it's the only downside). But for oily skin? It's a-ma-zing!!

The Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector retail for $44 for 40ml.
